Thanks for any advice.

What would you normally spend on a present....
Basically imagine there was a wedding list, pick something and give to the value of that amount.
people tend to give more if going to the whole event and a lesser amount if just the evening
There is no set amount but you could look on it as how much would you normally spend if you went out for the day with a meal and wine...but in essence give what you feel comfortable with.
Other than that the choice is yours...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Hi Helen
I have been to 6 family full day weddings in recent yrs and the general cash we give is£80-£100. Mainly as we are close to them all.
I think maybe a min of 5o?0 -
I would give 20 for an evening and 40 for all day. If my DD attended too I'd probably give 50.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Off some of my husbands aunts and uncles and nans we got £30, off some of my parents friends we got £50.
It depends on how much you can afford

That's the essence of it - it doesn't matter how much they are expecting or how much other people give, give what you can afford.0 -
So probably £50 a better amount?
Not close despite being niece, my brother is divorced and I see her about once a year and there was a period in her childhood that my ex sil wouldn't let any of us (my parents included) be part of her life.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
