I'm having a bit of a dilemma today, maybe your opinions can help me decide what to do. Although it's early days with the BF we are both very keen/happy and are seeing each other a few times a week. He doesn't drive and through a serious of circumstances finances are non existant never mind tight at least until payday next weekend. This means when we see each other I have to collect him. We live about 15 miles apart and I have to cross the city (I'm to the south, him the north). We're both aware of the different state of our finances and it doesn't affect our relationship other than my thinking before suggesting anything. The dilemma I'm in is that I want to suggest gifting him a weeks bus pass (£18) which will mean I save time and fuel if he could meet me rather than need collected. It will also mean I don't worry about him getting to work and backThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

If your seeing him a few times a week and its a 30 mile round trip I'm not surprised you want to get him a bus pass..... Mind you, it would have been nice if he'd suggested it himself and I do hope you don't fall into the trap of having to buy it for him every week.
If he had the money for bus fairs he'd be using it but he literally has nothing this week. If I did get one for him it would be a one off, am not a sugar mamma type haha

Some good advice from Judi there. As a one off I'm sure your bf won't be offended lynsay but don't fall into the trap of always paying

Hello all,
Had a lovely day with DS1. He has a lovely little apartment and is only a few minutes walk from Kingston town centre and station. Only a little further on is the River with it's lovely waterfront cafes etc.
They really have picked a wonderful spot.
Been to work helping DH with a couple of tip runs this morning. I actually quite like working with him on the odd day. It just makes things a bit different for me and builds my muscles up!!
Picked some more plums from my dad's tree. Not sure whether to make some more jam.
Baked some buns and will decorate them in a while. Might just bung jam and coconut on top.
TTFTM - hope you were ok at work today.
Moorhen - Brilliant results for your DD.
Have a good Evening0 -

I left it at Drs then got a call that she was away for two weeks so picked up form again and found they had mislaid one of the photos  went to her dentist and was told she is also away for two weeks! Going to try and think of someone else.
I was lucky enough to have a friend who was high-up in security at a well known IT company, and he did mine when I first had a passport. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Have you a local hospice or nursing home that would really appreciate the dvds?
Went shopping to York and just got back. Now have three new winter jumpers as I threw out all the clothes that were too big for me.
Had a phone call from nurse and we have a hospital multi disciplinary appointment next Thursday and hope they might be able to suggest a treatment for DH even if it is complicated etc. Just feeling he has not been given up on is such a relief.
Viewing a bungalow tomorrow and clearing up house ready to put up for sale in a few weeks time.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
