Morning All,
Raining here in Hastings:(
Achy today, but I am going to make a beef casserole and oven potatoes today for a dinner party tomoroow. It's OH's birthday, and we have friend around for dinner, so I thought I'd do something that doesn't need looking after!:rotfl:
OH is finally going to get on with the kitchen this weekend, only taken him 3 years:rotfl:
Lunch today will be eggs benedict (got a jar of sauce) Don't know what dinner will be.
Approved Foods order coming today too.

Morning all
I am just so exhausted today so not sure what will be done today. My whole body just aches and I feel like I haven't slept for weeksAnyway the spinach soup is delicious! A lovely green colour so eldest DD wouldn't try any but everyone else ate it
It's chip shop night tonight so no need to worry about what to cook later
OH has been sanding the bedroom floorboards so there is a fine layer of dust everywhere. No point in cleaning up yet though as he is only doing a bit at a time when he's finished work.
My mom is coming down today to help with the kids so a quick straighten round and a nice pot of tea are all that's needed. Have a good day all2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Good morning
Lovely sunny day here today. I've woke up to an empty house. It's a bit lonely and quiet. Going to take mutts to the forest soon for a good run around. Annoying dog has started behaving herself. OH and I were so tired last night we just to the dogs for a little walk down by the lake. But it was nice having an uninterupted conversation.
Today I need to go to next and get a refund on a pair of shoes ordered. I seen a lovely necklace in there but didn't look at the price, I'll have a look and see if it's resonable.
Need to collect dd1 from her friends 10 miles away at some point.
My parents have offered to take the dogs tomorrow night in return I take theirs next week, so 20 euro saved and petrol from having to run them down south.
Have a good day all and hugs to those who need themLBM 04/10:j

Morning everyone
I have not posted for a few days! Lots of family things. All good.
Been spending too! Splashed out on having some photo's printed and a small book to put them in. It is a gift of a family party. I am sure my offering will be treasured.
My own photo's I just put on the computer and print out the odd few to frame.
Bought a new lamp shade for a downstairs room. It is glass. White/gold with blue flowers on.
Always trying to improve on our home.
Crafting yesterday, put more photo's on the wall. I bought a frame ha said family. x6 photo frames attached.
Today i am giving the house and garden some TLC. Dusting, vacuuming and tidying. Lots of dead heading flowers in the garden.
Need to read the meters and keep unplugging = all helps.
Keep picking food from the garden.
The days are now starting to get colder and going to bed gets earlier.
Went to bed at 9pm last night and read my free ebook for an hour. Light out at 10pm. I woke up at 2am and 4.45am then got up at 7am.
I do not sleep through the whole night.
Anyway! enough chatter..... sending good wishes....The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Morning all,
Welcome 1 of 3 your very welcome x
moorhen got a text from my lad at Leeds yesterday.
"Mum, first morning, cold wet and hungover but having a great time"
The mind boggles.
Another visit from Aunty Flo only 2.5 weeks after the last one which was 10 days over due. I guess it's the big M starting. I've always been very regular. Plays havoc with my healthy eating as I carve sweet stuff:o sorry if too much info
Thanks for all the good wishes re my DD. We are down there for tea tonight so I will get a bit more info, just very relieved its nothing more serious.
It's feeling very chilly here today, so sneaked the heating on for an hour shhh. I need to do some food shopping and mum and dad are over for a visit this weekend which will be nice.
Enjoy your Friday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all
I was too tired by the evening to do a full post, but I've read and caught up with everyone's posts!
Ttftm- have a good day today and take it at your own pace x
Judi- what lovely news from the baby house!
Julie- I'm so glad they have finally got a proper diagnosis for your DD and they can now treat it appropriately x
Tru- yup the seasons are certainly turning. Brrrrr!
Very cool and cloudy here. Started with good intentions by getting Hoover out, got halfway around first room and sucked something up that is now wedged in a tube and I can't shift it :rotfl: DD has said he will sort it out later for me!
Dropped DS1 at the station as he is off to a birthday party in Pembrokeshire for the whole weekend. That's going to be some party, the girl must have brave parents.
I need to get DD passport counter signed. I left it at Drs then got a call that she was away for two weeks so picked up form again and found they had mislaid one of the photos  went to her dentist and was told she is also away for two weeks! Going to try and think of someone else.
I went food shopping yesterday without a "plan" and spent £87 on about two meals worth of food  I had taken DD with me so we now have 5 types of biscuits, 4 types of crisps and 4 types of pudding :rotfl: so as you can guess today will be inventory and meal planning!
Have a lovely day all hugs to those who need it xx0 -
Morning all,
TTFTM take it easy at work. It concerns me that you've gone back so soon but I guess you know what your doing.
Julie so glad there was nothing sinister found at your daughters' procedure.
Tru hope you have a lovely time at the chicken place. Its the sort of place I'd like to go to but I know both hubby and I would be tempted and I'm striving to make life easier for ourselves and not harder (plus the fact I think the dogs would freak out).
10f3 so glad you have joined us. The more the merrier I say.
Moorhen, congratulations to your daughter on her exam results. So very pleased for her.
Lilyplonk I have my Grandson tomorrow overnight too. Hope he is in the mood he was in last time we had him. He's just gone 12 months old and when he's in a strop we all know about it! Talking about my Grandson, he has gone to nursery for the first time today. My daughter goes back to work in a couple of weeks and although me and his other Nanny are having him for the bulk of his childcare he is going into nursery one half day a week. My daughter is going with him today, she will be going with him next Friday too and then he will be on his own. I do wish she didn't have to work half a day on Friday.:(
Hilstep (((hugs))).
Not sure what the day will bring but I'm ready for it.:)
Onwards and forwards,

Morning all,
It's a better day here today than yesterday, well dryer at least, still chilly. I'm distraught at the thought of it being autumn already, got a week in a caravan booked for the week crossing Sept/Oct. I really hope we get a last blast of summerness or it's going to be terrible. I'm not really a caravan/camping kind of girl but couldn't pass up the chance to spend 5 nights with my wee nephew (just shy of 16 months)
I'm excited to see him tomorrow too, meeting him and granny at a local town where we are having a ride on a Thomas Tank steam train.
Should be a reasonable enough weekend, 50th birthday tonight but taking the car as I don't think a hangover would mix well with an early drive or train full of screaming kids! Tickets for tomorrow are paid already so unless I spoil the wee one it will be a NS trip. Spending the afternoon with the BF and will have a small parking charge but we'll hopefully finish a project we've been doing for the last few weeks. It was thanks to working on this that we became more than friends so it will be a fond memory for our relationship. Here's the link in case anyone is interested, I think it's been a great idea and I've been to places that I've never been before or not been in years through it. Sadly the usual odd people have damaged some of the dolphins which is very sad.
http://www.wilddolphins.org.uk/
I'm having a bit of a dilemma today, maybe your opinions can help me decide what to do. Although it's early days with the BF we are both very keen/happy and are seeing each other a few times a week. He doesn't drive and through a serious of circumstances finances are non existant never mind tight at least until payday next weekend. This means when we see each other I have to collect him. We live about 15 miles apart and I have to cross the city (I'm to the south, him the north). We're both aware of the different state of our finances and it doesn't affect our relationship other than my thinking before suggesting anything. The dilemma I'm in is that I want to suggest gifting him a weeks bus pass (£18) which will mean I save time and fuel if he could meet me rather than need collected. It will also mean I don't worry about him getting to work and back (I'm a carer of people, it's a terrible affliction haha). But I worry he'll be offended if I suggest it.... any thoughts?
Right enough rambling, thanks for reading if you got through it all!
Hope you're having a good morning and *hugs* to those that need them

A late good morning from me.
Was up, as usual, before the larks and had a wonderful drive up from Glasgow to home. The lochs were so still and mirror like with mist rolling over the hills. Far too 'shortbread tin' like but so beautiful.
Been lifting nettles from the garden, learnt the other week to wear thicker gloves and got some lovely cream leather ones in Waitrose yesterday half price! They were perfect.
Got to do a little spending today but am away mist of next week. OH off to Dorset steam fair, his annual pilgrimage to bloke stuff, silly hats and beer tents!
Tomorrow I'm off to watch friends swim around Loch Lomond...far too cold for me.
Hello to those new or just lurking. Hope everyone is doing well or better.
Happy Friday.0 -
Morning all
Had a lovely swim this morning. Dinner for tonight organised. Moved all the cookbooks from the kitchen shelf to the bookcase, I tend to sit and peruse through them in the living room, so they may as well stay there.
Have had loads of VHS tapes on amaz@n for a penny or two but very rarely sell them. Am tempted to charity shop them, any ideas folks?
Have actually still got video player but these have come from family.
Off to Ramsgate over the weekend, there is a festival on.
Enjoy the BH Weekend all, hugs where needed, hope things improve.Carolbee0
