4 bed, double garage.
Slightly above budget at £210k, but it does say offers in the region of.0 -
I live in South Wales in a 4 bed detached bungalow with sea views. It cost me £190k in 2011. Not sure what it would be worth now.0

You cant get a defined answer, as there are too many variants
Within a 3 mile radius of my house, £200k will buy you anything from a 2 bed flat, to a 5 bed house, so even in a small locality, there are huge differences in what your money gets. Open that up nationally and you would be pulling your hair out trying to narrow down the search
You dont have to move into the back of beyond to find decent affordable housing. Im under an hours commute from The City0 -
Maybe I should have worded it as whats the most idyllic house you can find in Britain for £200k perhaps?
Those examples in Scotland look and the Midlands look value from my viewpoint0 -

What is idyllic though? Some look nice, but are in bad places, or remote places without access to goods/services/shops/jobs.
It's too airy fairy a question.
To find something that looks nice isn't too hard.... see where it is and suddenly there's a whole raft of other parts to the equation that add up to "idyllic".... and, for most people, thosehouses aren't sensible/suitable except as some faux dream on an Internet forum. Not to mention the fact that this "idyllic" house might be 300-400 miles away from anybody you know, or are related to .... and you've never been there.
You can't find ANY house within 5 miles of where I grew up in the £200k price band. None at all.... and it's not London.0 -
