O2 Cancellation problems
Hi everyone I'm new to the forum but not to the site, and I was wondering if anyone could help me...
I phoned o2 up in July to cancel my contract after having to wait around 5-6 weeks for them to sort out my phone after they sent me out a faulty handset after an insurance claim, while on the phone when I said I wanted to cancel I was told I had to pay the full remaining balance of my o2 refresh phone plan which was £275 so I did then I queried whether I would need to cancel my direct debits, I was told not to as the money for my previous bill would still come out of my direct debit, so I waited until the money had come out of my bank for the previous months bill and then cancelled the direct debits with my bank.
All has been well and good until I checked my emails this morning and had received an email from o2 stating that I owe them £146.09 I don't understand where this has come from as when I phoned up to cancel I was told I had to pay the remainder on my phone plan which I did and there was no mention of any other payments.
Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do?

Ask them what the £146 is for. The cost of the phone itself?
How much do you pay a month and how long left on the contract?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I would imagine it's £275 for the phone and the £146 is for the airtime contract but you need to ask them otherwise it's just guessworkIt's not just about the money0

My contract was £53 per month, but because it was o2 refresh it was made up of £25 phone plan and £28 call/text plan. When I phoned o2 they told me all I had to pay was the remainder of the phone plan which totalled £275 for 11 months + the previous months call/text bill that hadn't been paid yet.
£146 doesn't add up even if it was for the remaining call plan the rate of my call plan would make it at least £280-3080 -
You need to ask them as I said it's guesswork unless you askIt's not just about the money0
