JUDI I am not on Facebook either so I love seeing photos of the baby house and hear about the wonderful work done by your Daughter and her partner,
It must fill you with such pride when you see photos of how happy the children are, and how well they are looked after.
Much love

Afternoon all,
Hope you're well and have better weather than we're being blessed with up here!
I'm desperately needing to get back into an OS way of life, there have been many changes since I last joined in with the regular threads. I'm now running a three bed home by myself (ex left in March) but still living as if his contribution were still coming in. I've also allowed myself to become too distracted for housework etc. for a few months I considered selling up and returning to my one bed flat, like going back to my safe place haha but this is home now and I won't go backwards. It's time to start making the house into a home and getting my feet back under me as well as saving some money instead of spending it!
Hopefully coming back here regularly will turn my thoughts into actions!

Hello everyone,
Managed to sort out a box of DS's old school books today, saved all his reports though - he enjoyed looking through them I think
Booked a night away this weekend so looking forward to that - DH & I are both avid motorbike racing fans so we're off to Cadwell Park to watch the BSB on Monday - we're stopping at Healing Manor Hotel in Grimsby on Sunday night, got a £110 room for £65 so pleased about that, missed most of the bargains with leaving it so late to book I think - can anyone recommend somewhere nice (and not too expensive) to eat for tea on Sunday evening & breakfast on Monday morning please?
DH, DS & I did the quiz at our local last night, we do it quite regularly & now DS is home from Uni he joins us...such a good night out & it's lovely all being out together. We did really well last night considering there's only the 3 of us - there's no limit on the number in the team & some teams have 8/10 folk in them - anyway - we held our own last night!
Thanks for the heads up re Ebay TTFTM, I'm going to do some listing today too now you've reminded me - I'll list them for 10 days so they end a week on Sunday as I believe Sundays are the best days for auctions to end...?
I need to recoup some of my depleted Paypal funds as I've bought a few things lately....
One purchase was some Vapona fly traps - they're like sticky sunflowers that you place directly on your windows, they attract the flies & there must be something on them that's poisonous to them because within a few minutes they've dropped to the floor/windowsill.
If you get flies in the house I can recommend them - I have chooks & ducks outside so that's why I get so many...
Didn't manage my walk yesterday as my shins were hurting, they're OK today though so will go again, weather permitting. Got to pop out to Aldi first though...
Anyway I've gone on too long so enjoy the rest of today everyone - take good care..0 -
Judi those picture s are very heart warming.
Well dd1 is off on her sleepover, it was hit and miss. She hurt her thumb last night, this morning it was very swollen. So off to a&e for an xray. She's fine though, just has to wear a bandage for a few days. Dd2 is pacing the room waiting to go on hers.
I started my xmas shopping today. The place where I was picking up OH suit had a great sale on. Got my dad a t shirt and shirt and my brother t shirt for less than £30.LBM 04/10:j

Have a magnetic board and have divided this up into shopping lists for various places - Asian supermarket, bargain shop etc. Thanks very much for asking. How did Mr LW get on back at work? x
I have an ever-growing shopping list, as I literally haven't shopped since Operation Day, which was 5th August, apart from we got some fresh F&V from Central MK market on Tuesday. I may have to use coloured highlighters to denote what needs to be bought from where.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all,
Thanks for the heads up ttftm I've done my eBay listing today and thanks for the link, will give it a go x
Thankyou all for the lovely kind wishes re my daughter.
She had the procedure this afternoon, which she described as awful, but thank goodness it's done.
The consultant said she had an infection in her stomach, which lots of people have and it lies dormant. Not so for her and if left untreated could develop into an ulcer. They have prescribed three courses of strong anti biotics and she goes back for a review in September. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be anything serious. I didn't get the full story as she was very weary and just wanted to lie down and sleep, I think the sedation has finally kicked in. I feel very relieved, hopefully the meds will sort out the problem.
Off to bed now I'm shattered, sweet dreams xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening all
I have been so busy for the last couple of days
DD's birthday today she is 25, where did that go
Unfortunately I had a hossy appointment in London for knees, they said the mobility in the right knee has got worse and said that my leg muscles have atrophied so they want me to do 8 weeks of intensive physio and I have to go back in November, I will be surprised if I get a Physio appointment before 18 weeks let alone twelve especially as I have to wait three weeks to see the GP, then a wait for physio, it is unlikely that I will be sorted before Christmas
Luckily it is an open appointment so I just have to ring them up to tell them what is going on.
To top it all I have had a phone call about my biopsy which I have been waiting over a month for, to say that I am now "in the system" whatever that's supposed to mean:mad:
When I told my consultant today he was horrified that I have had to wait for so long. I also told him about the wait for physio and he said if I could get there every week I would have my first appointment next week plus hydrotherapy. But that journey is a nightmare, we got stuck on the M1 today and the speed limit was 30mph then 40mph and finally after Hemel Hempstead we got to 60 mph:eek:
DD wanted Chinese for her Birthday Dinner so I didn't have to cook when I got home which I was grateful for:)
She is having a few friends around on Sunday for a small party, so I will make her cake then.
DS and DD are off to Brighton tomorrow so we are going to the zoo for the day.
((((((Hugs)))))) to all xxxxxxxxBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
