Hi have just insured my 22 year old to be an occasional driver on our car with Direct Line. He passed his test 4 years ago. I found that by waiting 4 days until the day he was 22 saved nearly £50 on the extra premiums. We have both our cars insured with Direct Line and they will cover young drivers on a temporary cover note for up to 90 days per car. ( Only issue 90 days per car) Great for students back from university.0
