Can I cancel my T-Mobile contract?
Hello folks. Help/advice needed.
I purchased a mobile phone from EE (T-Mobile) via Affordable Mobiles on 29/07/2014. The contract that I signed up for was £21.99 per month. I have been using the phone since 02/08/2104, so I have now gone beyond the initial 14 day period for cancellation.
I have however just realised that T-Mobile are charging me slightly more per month than what I signed up for (£22.57).
Question is: can I cancel my contract without incurring any charges? It is not the contract that I thought I'd purchased. I have emails from Affordable Mobiles issued at the time of my purchase confirming the purchased plan as being £21.99 per month. Iknow it's only 58p per month more, but I would prefer to cancel if I can.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your bill to see why you are being charged that extra 58p?0

First bill almost always has pro-rata charges included.
OP, have you thought to ask T-Mobile? It might be a good place to start...
And no, it's highly unlikely you will be able to cancel the contract, you should have had that buyers remorse a little earlier

You can cancel any time you like, but you will be billed an ETC based on the remaining 24 months.
Even if it's a billing error, which I doubt. If it is, get them to correct it-it doesn't void your contract without penalty. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hello again.
I called T-Mobile to inquire re the slight price discrepancy, and completely out of blue they offered to move me to a new price plan, effective next month, that is less than half the price I was on, and with a vastly increased allowance for calls and data. My text allowance was unlimited anyway.
They said that it was a gesture of goodwill for moving to T-Mobile.
Needless to say I did not turn their offer down. An unexpected but very welcome outcome.
Thanks to all for your help. :j0 -

Glad you had a good outcome, but if you were genuinely being charged more than the contract (i.e. charged more every month not a one of error or first month adjustment) you signed up to then there was very good chance that you would have been able to cancel the contract penalty free!
Anyone on EE who has had a price increase (or received the change in T&Cs in February) and want to exit your contract PENALTY FREE may like to see this forum:
