Talk about ups and downs!
On the upside! Thought ch boiler had conked out as had hot water but no heating! A very kind plumber gave me free phone advice and it seems the wall control needs to be reset as it's not 'talking' to its wifi master control (eat your heart out captain,kirk!)... Anyway, I n:mad:ow know where the over ride switch is ... But have also discovered that I Don't like crawling in small places!!
Will wait till oh gets home from Work and let him do it!
Just heard that eldest ds has got a new job!
So pleased for him as his old job was grinding him down so much but he stuck at it for his young families sake for quite a few years now..
:T
Downside: took day off Work to wait in for new appliance, but more tools outs not in stock.
Oh well... At least the sun is shining and i've been able to put some washing out!
Must remember.... Every cloud has a silver lining... And repeat... Every cloud had a silver lining!
Have a good evening!

Does anyone know a good place to rid of modern fiction? Just been onto 'we buy any books' but it seems they won't take them (maeve binchy, marian keyes, sheila oflanagan etc etc).
Some of them are like brand new... I've already asked our local library if the wanted the hardbacks for free as a donation, but they said they can't take them!
I know this sounds awful, but the books seem to be too good for the charity shop (sorry, no offence meant!)
Postage costs too prohibitive for greedbay...

Phone is overheating! Think it's got a suicide chip! before it goes altogether, does anyone have a foolproof damson wine recipe? New to this, only used kits before and all I could taste was chemicals so while we've got a glut of fruit we may as well give it a go!BoDiddly

Found your thread Bo!
Good news about son's new job, always a relief to know they're sorted In the earnings department!
I'd be interested to know if you find somewhere else to take the books for a few pounds, I've created a stack to approach WBB with over the weekend, but now I'm worried they're probably very similar titles to yours (I was given a load of chick lit when I was poorly bit don't really read it generally so it's now on it's way out).
Good call with the central heating, at least you've ironed out the wrinkles before it gets really cold! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

We've been known to bottle the damsons in cheap brandy (think value brandy in plastic bottles, yup classy stuff), but once it's mellowed with the fruit through the autumn it's great for winter puddings and hot toddies by the fireside!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!
