you shouldn't really need it for egypt, the only time I ever had with mozzies in egypt is when I went into the villages umounst the sugar cane, never had any problems elsewhere, even when on a cruise ship

we are going to taba in a month and we are not taking any mozzie stuff, it's far to dry for them but if you do want a mozzie spray then the jungle stuff is good, otherwise you can get citronella cream that's natural

I can only comment on my trip to Sharm (Egypt) You WILL need something as the mozzies in Sharm are viscious little !!!!!!s. and there are many of them I tried something called jungle juice and even that didnt seem to repel them it was supposed to be the best on the market.

As a recent returner, I can guarantee you absolutely WILL need repellant. The very best advice I can give is buy nothing over here, because even the strongest of our stuff is no good. Wait till you get there and buy the one called Family Spray from any supermarket (Metro) in a yellow spray can - costs about LE10 (£1) and use it liberally!!! Only way to keep them off.
  • They were talking about this stuff in Real Travel magazine this month:

    http://www.lessmosquito.com/

It's a 100% natural, DEET free mosquito repellent, so will be safe for children. Works against other bugs too apparently.

Now, has anyone actually used it? The reviews say it works but who knows? I ALWAYS get bitten, even though other members of my family don't. I'm going to buy one and try it out later this year in the Dominican Republic. It's a bit more expensive than normal DEET sprays, but if it works.... I've melted so many watches/mp3 players with DEET that it's worth a try at least.
