Mart,
Had a look at the figures and when i get a chance ill scan the sheet he gave me with the figures on, but looks like he quoted the right ones basically £320pa and about £18000 over 20 years which includes savings from 20 led light bulbs. Although he did say this was worst case scenario if my house had shading, wasn't pointing south, only 20% sun etc and a few other things which i can't remember now.
Macman,
I dont understand why I agreed to any of it even the first phonecall, I usually dont even give cold callers a chance to speak just put the phone down, for some reason I just agreed to everything, maybe i was having a bit of a mental breakdown LOL !! The APR is 10.4% I know i could of got a loan for 3.9% again I havent got a clue why I agreed to this!
Im going to pay it off straight away i have a credit card with 0% interest till december 2015 so im going to use that at least it will save me a bit.
Cardew, your exactly right, which is why I created this post and I aim to post their name on every relevant forum I can
Ill try and get those figures uploaded in the next couple of days so you can all have a look!0 -
Just had a thought, is there anyway to make this thread come up on the first page of google when you search for my planet.
At the moment when you search for them the following link is the only one that comes up apart from the actual company links, it would be great it I could get this thread on the first page of google results!!
Can't post the link because im new but if you search for myplanet its the second link that comes up on a which forum !!0 -

Hiya.
It's not the strongest argument, but you could 'attack' that £18k figure. I think you'd need to suggest that it isn't just optimistic, but unreasonable ...... now it's been pointed out to you ...... but you didn't spot that at the time you signed ...... hence you were misled at the time you agreed/signed.
I've used a lazy maths trick for speed, but assuming a 3% inflation rate I got £9k.
[1.03 to the power 20, multiply by £320 to give final year, add that figure to £320 and multiply by 10 (or divide by 2 for average year, then multiply by 20)]
2% gives you £8k. To get £18k, you need to apply an inflation rate of 8%, which isn't really reasonable.
I fully appreciate that you've tried to take this on the chin, and said that you were a mug, but before you let it go - where's the line drawn between a good salesman and a conman?

GStyle - I see that you have also contributed to a thread about MyPlanet on Which. If you are a member of Which, then I would suggest a call to Which legal services. If not, then give your local Trading Standards a ring for more specific advice The problem with general advice is that we are only getting to see bits of the jigsaw. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi Hengus,
Unfortunately im not a member of Which just thought I would post on there to warn other people.
How do I attach a picture of the scanned document they gave me with all the figures on?0 -
Ok,
had a look at the RECC website it states before I can make a complaint to them I have to take it up with the supplier and they have 7 days to respond.
I have just emailed the company and will await their response.0 -

Re MyPlanetuk.
If posters refer to MyPlanetuk, then it will eventually appear on first page.
MyPlanetuk should get Google placements linking to this thread.

So what you're saying is that if people are searching for myplanetuk, then this thread referencing myplanetuk might come up to give them an insight into the myplanetuk sales tactics ?
If so, I'm sure that anyone searching for myplanetuk would be at the very least curious to read the OP's experience of the sales force of myplanetuk.0
