the government say that by the end of 2017, all existing DLA claimants will have been assessed and transferred to PIP.
dont hold your breath
an indefinit/lifetime DLA award has always meant very little anyway.
it doesnt mean that you would never be reassessed, just that no time scale has been given.
in principle you can be asked to reapply at any time

thanks - do they give you enough time advising you about the assessment interview date please?0
-
they will send you a form to complete and then , if necessary, an appointment for an assessment will be made.
when i had my ESA assessment they phoned me and the first date they gave wasnt convenient and so they asked me when i could attend and an appointment was made for me.
i havent transferred to PIP so am not sure if it is the same

When they send you an appointment for the assessment if it's not convenient you can change it but you can only do this once.0

I have called Atos and then DWP this morning. Atos have decided not to call me for a face to face and have sent their paper based report back to the DWP on 14/01. Atos lady transferred me to DWP which was unusually helpful! No decision as yet.
I know it used to be the case that no face to face generally was good news and you'd get an award but I'm sure I've seen the opposite being the case recently too?
Hopefully I won't have too much longer to find out either way.0 -
Hey i was sent my review a few months back was told i would have a f2f before christmas but my doctor said no way and wrote a letter and explained if they wanted to see that they come to my home and put about why and the fact of the progressiveness of my illness. i found out my report had been wrote up and sent back to DWP on 19th of december i actually got a call on the 5th of jan saying that a decision would be made that day and i would get a letter in 7 days. never got any letter i rang up to be told decision not made and no that was not right on the 5th they were just giving it to a case manager it didnt mean he would be making a decision. i rang today as it is now 5 weeks since DWP got the report and they said 4 weeks today they are saying 4-8 weeks love how they change the goal posts , i just want to know what is happening do they not realise that some of us get this due to mental health as well as physical and it effects bother when going through the process0
