I do a big shop at Tesco when I have eaten most of what was in the cupboard and freezer, and have hardly any food left at all. I go at 7.30pm to get the yellow stickers, and usually spend £20 - £25, every two or three weeks.

I don't order on line, don't have a shopping list, and I don't meal plan. My meals are whatever I can buy on yellow stickers. Fresh food, not junk.

When I am in town once a week or could be longer, I pick up stuff from the discount stores, mainly pet food. I Cherry pick from all the shops to get the best price. If pet food is on offer I stock up, never pay full price. Wash up liquid and bleach from Home Bargains. I pick up a few bits from Aldi when I am in town, yogurt, bananas, etc. I buy my toilet rolls from a wholesaler, five years worth at a time, I don't go very often, ha ha.

As far as cat food and litter I have found a revelation in Fetch.
It is a Pet food online store from Ocado. You can order for FREE next day delivery in 1 hour slots. The delivery men are wonderful and will bring it into the house for you too.
I order food and litter for my 2 cats monthly. I spend about £20.
You get cashback through Quidco too for your first shop.

I hope that is some help to you it certainly was for me :D

I can't seem to get organised. I do an online food shop once a month and shop myself in between but I still find I run out of things or over order on the online shop. Would I be as well just shopping daily, I also buy cat food and litter which isn't light to carry.

    Hiya

I do one of two things:

The unorganised one is to do a stock up shop of all my cupboard essentials at the beginning of the month. Then I buy fresh stuff as and when, and try not to buy too much as I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to food. This way is a bit more expensive and I can waste stuff.

The organised way is to do a meal plan for lunches and suppers. Then I make a shopping list based on that plan, plus cleaning products and breakfasts/drinks. I don't buy anything extra except whats on my list then. It does take time to plan which is why I don't do it every month, but it really, really works for me!

I also always make enough of things for 3 or 4 portions. I'll often eat the same thing a few days in a row. Either that or freeze the other couple of portions.

    Hope that helps :)
