Limit for transferring money from stocks and shares to Cash ISAs

I have £70k currently in stocks and shares and have been advised that this is at moderate risk. I would now like to transfer this to cash savings preferably in cash NISAs. Am I still limited to £15k in cash ISAs or can I exceed this limit as it is 'old money'?

Formal ISA transfers never count towards the annual limit (which is exclusively about new money being put into an ISA).

A formal ISA transfer must be carried out by your new provider. You must not move the money yourself.

Any particular reason why you've suddenly found out that the risk level isn't what you thought?

You can have a S&S ISA with low risk funds in it, the risk level is totally dependent on what you have bought. Which funds/shares do you have?

Moving to cash may be less risk to capital short term but long term you'll lose to inflation and also get much lower income currently too.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
