Where do you shop (if you don't mind me asking) I think I have a free code for Tesco? If that's any help

Actually it's just on purchases of over £50! No code.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Well I don't go anywhere to spend money. Ste goes to work and gets £10 a week but whatever he doesn't spend rolls over to the next week and if we need bread milk etc he gets it out of his money.
If it comes to it where we need something desperately but literally have no money we'll use the savings. But that will only be if it's absolutely essential.

god how do you stay in all day with two kids dosnt it get you down i have two one 8 and one 3 and we have to go out everyday or otherwise i would go insane all they want to do it sit in and watch cebeebies  or worse tracey bloody beaker and if i turn the telly of well its roits
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing

How do you stick to your budgets?!?

I know this question was directed at IA but thought I might be able to help :o

I currently have 4 bank accounts (soon to be more but that's a whole other story!)

Absolutely everything I buy it budgeted for and the once a year purchases are divided by 12 and saved for monthly too.

Once all my monthly bills have been paid I transfer the 'once a year purchases' into 3 accounts (all linked so combined interest). 1 account is for a house fund which includes insurances, alarm bill, emergency repairs. The 2nd account is for nice stuff birthdays, xmas, holidays, haircuts etc. The third account is for car stuff. And finally my current account which, in addition the bills has the money for petrol, food, clothes, going out and spends.

I have a master spreadsheet that contains all the info on where my money is and also lists a column for each of the variable spends, petrol, food, clothes etc. Everytime i spend money, it's entered under the relevant column and the money is subtracted from the overall budgeted amount for that item. That way I can keep a track of what I've spent and what I have left to spend. I work on the principal that once it's gone it's gone!

It seems to work pretty well for me if not a bit labourius.

Sorry for the long post :o

Right very first online tesco shop done! guide price including delivery was about £47 but that's not including any offers so it should be less than that. They're coming tomorrow between 10-12 :) £4.99 delivery though!!!
But I've probably saved that by not being suckered into impulse buys lol...

    STOP!!!!!

IA, don't know if you know but if you spend £50, it's free delivery this week at Tescos - so it would be worth treating yourself to a £3 bottle of wine, and saving £4.99 on delivery!!! :D

If you've only just done your order, it's probably not too late to change it.
