Jo, I had a little girl who was born at 26 weeks, she lived for 9 weeks before she just had enough. I still love to look at all of the things I was given when she was born, her tiny little hat, teddies and cards. These will be special for Shane's mum and dad because you are validating him as a real person who did have a life, all be it a tiny one. Hugs to you all x

Oh my, thats made me sob. x

Jo I am so sorry to hear your news.

I have to agree with Toto 100%, my first baby was born sleeping at 34 weeks and I have a memory box of all the things people gave him, his cards and I have even kept the condolence cards that people wrote and placed on his wreaths. This memory box comes out every now and then and although upsetting its also lovely to read what people put.

As many others have said time is a huge healer but they are never forgotton.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this time xxx

Aww Toto that gave me goosebumps :o

One of my cousins lost her very ill little girl when she was about 6 weeks old. When you visit their house there are photo's of her all over the place, their younger children know all about their big sister even though they never met her. Just because they are gone does not mean that they never lived.

These children are so special as they touch our lives in ways we never knew possible.

Jo, hugs you to and all your family x

    Morning IA.

How are things in your house this morning? Is everyone healing well?

How excited are the girls? Only a few more sleeps until Santa!

Hi, I was going to update but didn't feel it'd be right with the circumstances and all. The girls are fine.. Ash is getting really excited about 'nansta claus' and 'presents' and loves all the lights and things around at the moment. MIL and I are going shopping tomorrow night (late night shopping) so Ash can see the Stafford lights.. K had another bad night... not sure whats up with her but I'm gettnig desperate for sleep. Ste's elbow is healing up well and he's able to move it again.. he managed to sleep on it last night but suffered this morning when his elbow froze up and was really painful again!

Sorry I don't want to take away from the problems Jo and her family are facing right now..

    I'm sure she wont mind.

I was horrible to my Mum when I was little, I would sleep for a whole night until I was about 4 and a half :o The most sleep my Mum got was about 3 hours a night :o:o. Apparently I just grew out of it. Not that it helps you. Maybe she is picking up on all the excitment of Christmas which is making her restless.

Doodledo, your post made me cry, I'm sorry for your loss. xxx

Sarah, don't be afraid to tell us the exciting stuff about your girls, I think if anything, the last few pages of your diary have shown that you have to cherish every second of your childrens lives, and never let the extraordinary things they do be seen as ordinary or humdrum. We love hearing about 'nansta', and seeing their beautiful little faces on the photos you post.

Thinking of you Jo - I hope that Shane will bring a tiny little flicker of joy into your family's life as well as all the sadness.
