  • Morning all... hope everyone is well this morning.
I'm exhausted.. had possibly the worst night EVER with the girls. They woke each other up about 1am and then it was literally a case of up/down/up/down/up/down ALL night. Absolutely shattered and not impressed.. and because of that Ste has given me my xmas prssie early..:eek: Only a 5 STRING BASS  It's gorgeous!!!! Has definatley cheered me up.... now just need a miracle anti tiredness pill....

Oh and our bargain tesco wine order arrived this morning :D 2 cases/12 bottles of lambrini.. and a case/6 bottles of red wine for MIL.. inc postage... £8.30....:eek:

All in all a great day so far.. if you discount the night... :rotfl:

Last night's band practice was great and was really productive.. well except the singer who was trying out last week and coming back yesterday didn't show because he had a hangover...hmmmm... but we're laid down the foundations of 2 tracks... :D They guys comes over to ours last night for some beers and guitar hero 3-ness... :D

    soooo tired... lol

  • Well today I had to buy a new strap for the bass(es) as mine old one had completely worn out and was millimeters from snapping  and while we were in the shop I put down a deposit on Ste's xmas pressie. He picked it and we've agreed that he can have his early seeing as I've had mine.. but christmas now will be totally about the girls. Ste's having an ibanez guitar :D he fell in love with it at the shop so I know that he'll love it, plus he can use it to help get idea for songs etc. He's always been a jack of all traits. :P

We've got some money coming this week so once the guitar is paid for the rest will be paid off Ste's vanquis to pay off my xmas pressie... then pay off the bits I paid for with the egg before going back to money being for pressies again. :) It'll be easier now we haven't got Ste and I to budget for and we can concentrate on the girls and friends/family :)

    Ooooooh I can't wait! I love christmas!

  • Right.. working out the xmas/paying off stuff we shouldn't have put on the credit cards budget :rotfl:
In good news quidco has jumped to £43.10 received and expected to be paid out the end of the month :T

so it kind of works out like this.
    tomorrow £100 from 'dad'
by 30th £120 (will explain in a min)
    28th £13.57 tc
    30th £38.64 wages
by 3rd? £43.10 quidco (possibly more)
    4th £120.80 Cb
    5th £13.57 tc
7th £38.64 Wages (just had the call asking me to do the same extra hours this week :T)
    12th £13.57 tc
    14th £27.60 wages
    19th £13.57 tc
    20th £149.02 ste wages
    21st £27.60 wages

    = £720.18

    possible extras...
£50 from topcashback expected the 30th nov
    £100 extra from 'dad'

    = possible £870.18

    To pay off...
£153 off vanquis for my bass
    £189 Ste's guitar
    £137.79 off egg
    = £479.79

= £240.75 xmas budget or £390.39 depending on 'dad' and tcb after having paid off everything... funnily enough the credit card stuff isn't bothering as much as I thought it would mainly because it's going to be paid off in the next few weeks anyway and apart from the 'birthday splurge' on the egg card everything else was Ste and I's xmas pressies.

The £120 due by the 30th is extra dialaphone cashback we've had confirmed to be on the way to the bank.... couldn't believe it when I saw that it'd been paid! God bless refer a friend promotions.. :T

I know that everyone will notice the 'dad' additions.. after having many many long chats with Ste about the situation we've decided to accept his money. We've both agreed that if he does want to make a 100% effort to be civil and be in our and the girls lives then we'll give him one more chance. The money thing doesn't really come into it as that is just how my dad works... he's never known any other kind of problem solving other than throwing money at the problem.. but he is coming round tomorrow morning to give the girls £100 for xmas, and has also said that if he can he wants to give Ste and I £100 as well closer to xmas.

We're giving him this one chance.. on the conditions that...
    • If he ever comes over or calls and it's clear he has been drinking then that will be it straight away and we'll cut all ties.
    • We don't want his 'new wife and daughter' round our house.
    • I don't want to hear about how 'nice' he was to my mum and hear him ever blaming her for any of his problems.
    • He can act adult enough to make an concerted effort to get to know his grandchildren.
we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted....
