    I'm guessing if they do such a thing so does someone else though.... personally I like the interest rate first and foremost but I can see the psychological locking the money away factor could be a bonus...

    woo tax credit notice arrived today.. our payments are changing to £96 a week from next week.. then when K's 1 they're going down to £84. It's alll good :D

    Sorry if I've missed it, but has that changed much from what u had before? I would have thought the amount u have earned should not affect it much at all.... Also, do u have to 'declare' it if u do overtime?

    Basically from what I gather when you make a change they give you a lump payment to 'tide you over' until the change takes effect... and then they take that amount off your yearly amount which is why your weekly payments drop slightly. It's dropped by about £6ish so nothing too drastic. They've based it on my contracted hours and how much that will earn me for the tax year so if I earn any extra I'll have to declare that but unless it's over 25k more it won't effect it until next year's award anyway and even then it won't be by much.

    That's worked out ok then....... If they offer, do u think u'd stay on after Xmas too?

    I think I'd like to but it's whether Ste would be happy with it.... will have to cross that bridge when it comes to it!
