    Back from K's check.
K's fine she's 21.14lbs and 72cms long. Development wise she's fine and the HV has given us more stuff for her eczema as apparently we should be using the hydrocortizone cream on red bits and the normal stuff on all over every other day to prevent it. Apparently she thinks that K's got a bit of thrush behind her ears and in her neck so have got some cream for that too.

    Things I'm apparently doing wrong.

giving her whole milk instead of formula milk (she stopped drinking formula full stop).
not giving her multivitamins because she's not on formula.
as I've been using the creams wrong she thinks her to waking at night because of her itchy eczema .

    *sigh*

Hey honey ~ I personally get the right hump with HV's!!

Formula ~ little legs was on whole milk at 10 months old. They told me that coz of how she was born she would be lactose intollerent till she was 2 ( !!!!!!) ~ I *weaned* her onto dairy with fromage frais and she is still a big milk drinker.

Vitamins ~ I never gave her those either, she has yet to contract scurvy, polio or smallpox

eczema ~ have you ruled out the possibility that this isnt related to dairy? Other than that buy some porridge oats and a cheappair of tights. Cut off arounf the thich area :o fill the foot to about half an inch with the oats and swish about in the bath until the water goes murky ~ bathe as normal, you *should* see and improvement within a coupla weeks.

:T :T :T :T to the dreaded barclaycard - whom incedently (Barclays) I am tres not amused with at present

  • I so second what tigtag says, I was an excema sufferer for years and it was completely dairy related. The oats thing is a wonderful trick, really does 'soften' the water, manky to clear up after though!

  • Well K's eczema comes and goes but started way before she was having cows milk. Funnily enough is is getting better as she gets older she gets the odd flare up here and there.

"URGENT £25 easy free cash loophole! Spend 1p on a credit card and get £25 cash!
New customers who apply for a Barclaycard OnePulse credit card online and make a purchase on it will be credited with £25. Yet there’s no ‘minimum spend’ required to trigger the free cash, so just buying sweets from the supermarket does the trick. Then wait for the £25 to be credited and spend it as you choose. "

Have you seen Martin's email..... ;) well you were looking for cashback offers....:A

:rotfl: You'd have to pay me A LOT more than that to get me to apply for another barclaycard :rotfl:

  • Morning Sar,
Freya had excema until she was 1-then it almost cleared up overnight!
    Strange but true...

Oats do work, there is also a skincare range called 'Aveeno' that you can probably get on prescription that is brilliant-it doesn't contain any steroids so is better in the long run for little munchkins. The cream I used to clear up Freya's excema was from the chinese herbalist-it was bright green and she looked like kermit with it on but it cleared up soon after-age or cream, I don't know and frankly didn't care! The Chinese guy at the shop where I got it did give me grief about not breast feeding *sigh* everyone has an opinion...

IA I have some kitten food at home if you would like it. There are 3 pouches (we thought we'd see if yours wanted it, but he turned his nose up!) and there are some vouchers.

    Let me know!

How did you get on with the jabs last night?
