Then there's the small matter of the 5k a year I spend on sticks and cymbals :D

I do buy sticks by the box (seeing as I usually go through 6 a night) Hotrods last a tune usually, so there's a MSE saving (don't use rods unless you're at gunpoint) :rotfl: I'm forever cracking cymbals which are around £200 each (depending on what cymbal it is)

Still glad Ste's the band's new drummer? :rotfl:

!!!!!!!!! Shhhhhhh! He's got one expensive hobby with the gaming, and you're encouraging him - we need to divert him towards a low cost, zero to low-equipment hobby:

hhhmmmm, any suggestions, here are mine:

    mime (no equipment and silent)
    gardening
knitting (he could knit covers for all the x-boxes)

Ahead are aluminium aren't they? I don't use them, I don't like the sound or the feel. I tend to stick with zildjian or vic firth.

Ste should check out the Sabian Neil Peart Paragon series cymbals. I love them, the sustain on the crash is amazing. I'm not a big fan of the paragon high hat, it's a bit dry. I'm super fussy about cymbals, it took me 8 hours to choose a splash one day. I was in the shop from morning to closing time and tried every single one. I actually ended up getting one custom made in the end. Nightmare!
See.. this is why I'm glad I'm a bassist... :rotfl:

  • Hey Honey,
What about sending Ash to Nan's for a few nights?
Or putting her to bed in your room for a few nights? I do know how hard it is, we had a nightmare with Joe crying and waking up Freya so he ended up in bed with with us on a few more occassions.

I did find that nothing worked straight away but being consistent helped...I also found that haivng the rooms cooler helped-not sure why but if they get too hot, they never slept.
    Failing that...

    Ummmm, medised? (JOKE! HONEST)
Apparently I never slept past 5 am as a child so maybe me and K are related?
