On a more serious note though IA...Im sure despite the good/bad of this situation you`ll sort it out....I love reading yoiur diary and I know folk say your an inspiration etc, but beleive me gal you are, this is just another blip in your DFW journey, and tommorows another day, I wish i hadthe power to wave a magic wand and take folks worries away, but in reality lifes not that wonderful.

Just need to post this up as I just sent this to Ste as a moral support but think I need to take heed as well.

The worst that could happen is we have to pay for whatever repairs on your vanquis card.We got £450 spare on there and it'd have to be pretty bad to be that expensive. Lets not panic before the bombs dropped. I know I can talk as I'm stressed too but we've just got to accept that it's in the hands of the garage now and we'll just have to cross that bridge when it comes to it.

Hi IA,

I'm a bit of a lurker but feel your car pain... Anyway, just wondered, rather than putting any repair costs on Vanquis, would it not be better to use what you've saved for the debt this month? In the long run I'd imagine this would work out slightly cheaper.

Not relevant at all, but thought this might make you smile - just had a phone call from some random car insurance company:

Them - Hello, could I speak to Mrs Snaggles please
Me - Speaking
Them - I'm just ringing about your car insurance, do you know when it's due for renewal?
Me - Yes, I think it's September, in fact I've just renewed it, I got loads of quotes via confused.com and moneysupermarket, and then when I'd found the cheapest I bought it through Quidco and got money back too....brilliant eh?
Them - (very subdued) Oh, er, okay then, bye.....(and then very quietly, just before the line cut off)....oh for f@@ks sake....sigh.....

Think I upset him somehow? :rotfl:
