The good thing is tho, in a few months time when u've become debt free and saved, if Ste still wants the same one, it'll probably be a lot cheaper!I completely relate to the whole xBox/HD thing tho....we have a pre-LBM HD ready tv, and playing the xBox on it is fantastic.... then when we take it to the in-laws so OH's DS1 can play it, it looks pretty naff..... call me a snob, but one u get used to it, its hard to go back!PS - How's Halo3? Worth the purchase?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

That's exactly the problem we have... now we've seen both there's just no comparison.
Definately! Such a good game.. shame that I accidentally wiped Ste's save game last night though
OMG ~ miserable bollox would have divorced me <hhmmmm, now there's a thought>
We bought a decent HD ready TV from Argos a few months ago - it was about £350 and its fab.
We refuse to pay the extortionate Sky charges for the HD package but its worth it for the egg-box.:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
the difference we are seeing is between crt and lcd. Although normal tv looks great and clear through crt, the xbox and ps3 look shoddy and washed out on crt. the new tele when we are debt free will be plasma which gives the crispness of crt for normal telly and the high resolution of lcd for me gaming.
And to answer barnaby bear again, true hd is a matter of opinion. some people say that true hd is 1080p but imo, hd is anything from 720i. Its a crisper resolution that uses around 4x the pixels of a normal signal.

Does it matter that I haven't played any of the other Halo games? I was heavily into the Quake series some years ago, and I need another game to get addicted to - OHs DS1 only has 3 games for it, Smackdown vs Raw (which I can't play for toffee), some football game, and PGR Racing, which I'm bored of cuz I keep crashing!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -

I was curious HD ready seems pretty wide spectrum - technically 720 seems in the definition, HD compatible seems to mean little.... I can't imagine many people would opt for a CRT these days.

and sarahneedle... you really do have to play the other 2 but the good news is that the other 2 halo games are backwards compatible on the 360... hurrah! go buy em, they'll be cheap as!0 -

Nothing's 'wrong' with crashing, but when ur palying on the lowest level and all the comp generated cars are flying past u, it gets a bit disheartening! LOL'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
