Would it help to over pay for the whole term or just save up to pay it off in October 08?

Actually that site's quite good explanation (although it says mortgage it could be about any loan or CC interest), the repayment bit about how at the start of the loan you pay loads of interest because the lump sum you owe is big. I imagine that at the 24% interest rate if the settlement fees aren't daft that if you can repay as much of the lump sum owed as fast as possible you'll get rid of the sharks and save money. The bit we found that helped us is to make sure when free of the cost of this car to put a bit aside like a bus pass (pay-as-you-drive) so next time don't touch these monsters with a barge pole...
I'm sure there must be some articles/threads on the best way to extract yourself from car credit as cheaply as possible.... anyone???0 -

Did you know you can send off for an extra years warranty on citicard for electrical appliances bought on the card, which means the Xbox thing could be covered for two years (you have to apply usually) so Steve's box-thing might avoid another three rings of red fire death?
You might hate them and they've had your money, might be worth getting as much as you can back,...0 -
Morning IA - just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for helping me with the shopping list.... I've made a few amendments, ie added some quorn mince, fabric cond etc, but so far I'm still under £40!! There were a few things I didn't need right now as got some here still which I'll be taking with me.
Thanks so much.... I'd have really struggled getting all that for under £50.
I won't be online at home now, but will pop on at work. I work mon/tue/fri. I look forward to seeing Citi gone on Wed... take care and give the girls a kiss from me xxx"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

I'm being cheeky and trying to copy and paste your shopping list and meal planner, so I can use it myself - but it wont flippin work
Just catching up on IA's diary after a hectic week. If you right click on the number in the top right corner of each post, in this case 1755, you can select "print target" and it just prints out that item.
Really handy when people post tips and menus so you can collate them into a menu folder! (Great idea in theory, but I simply run out of time with the practice!)
Sorry if this has already been suggested further along - I'm getting there after 5 days away!
