PS Can I just ask for a bit of good luck Karma from you lot, cos my 17 year old daughter is on her driving test as we speak and she is bleeding me dry with driving lessons! I am not sure I can take the tension here on my own

See tig - I can't quite understand that, cos I have a crap credit score too. One thing I did do though was say that I did NOT want an overdraft, cos I don't. Maybe that helped.

  • Whats your goal for 2008 then missus!
Well because we'll have had the car 2 yrs in OCt 08 we'd be able to pay about 3-4k to pay it off completely meaning we'd be totally debt free....
That'd be nice... and the £160.50 a month would come in handy too!!

So to pay off £4,000 in 12 months you would have to find £40 per week!

Will you save any interest by overpaying?

Thing is I've been applying for all and sundry through cashback sites and keep getting declined so my credit rating will be battered at the moment!!! That's why I think I won't get one lol. I've not even heard back from vanquis yet! lol Probably a good thing though... :P

:o:o Me too and me either, we may have to start the Vanquis rejects club
That's what I'm thinking of doing.. having the cashback money as christmas money.. I really want us to be able to have a fab christmas.. last year was really really tight and I'd love to just be able to splurge and buy Ste and the girls something special without the retribution.. :rotfl:

And why shouldn't you ~ I think £600 should do that trick quite well ;);)

If its any consolation I think you probably need to be REALLY REALLY bad like me to get a Vanquis card. The badder the better, then they can suck you in chew you up and spit you out at the other end!!!!!

  • well my cashback was rejected for vanquis, but hubbys has been confirmed. We haven't had anything from them, but I am taking that to mean that I have not got one and he has. Not bothered - only wanted the cashback! We both have defaults, but they both clear next year.

Just looked and it'd be £3,182.28 in Oct 08... which isn't as bad as I thought.
Looks like the interest is front loaded though... so many big words I can't understand it! lol!
