  • Morning all... it's tax credits day so we are officially back on the straight and narrow. If there is such a thing.. :rotfl:

So as it stands this morning we have £60 in the normal bank for food and petrol (Which we don't actually need because we're still doing ok from topping up the tank to go to blackpool.) so instead that £10 will be used for band practice on sunday and beers after. :D
Then in savings we have £42.29...
£250 cheque still to clear.. should clear tomorrow.
Ste's wages are going in tomorrow so that'll be £97.85 left over after the bills as there was £7.44 left over from last month as well :D
Had an email from envirofone saying the £33.01 cheque for Ste's phone is on it's way so should get that tomorrow or saturday...
Then £32 tax credits next weds...

meaning that all being well we will have £455.14 by the end of next week...

Where is Ste's new citi bill when you need it??????? We might be able to pay it off!!!!

Might give them a call and get a balance actually... I know it's a premium rate number but I NEED to know!!!!

    Morning IA,

    Loving the doors, very posh!

What are you spending the £250 from your Mum on, I can't seem to find that anywhere?

DD got a cheque from Nationwide yesterday for £160, for their merger bonus, she's a lucky girl. I could do with £160 right now!! lol

The £250 is going towards debt. It's the one thing we need right now... it's in the bank clearing as we speak.

What merger bonus??? Our bills account is with nationwide...

I think it was only for Portman customers as Nationwide took them over. She got taxed £40 as well.... I didn't think little ones got taxed.

    Morning!!!

I've just renewed my car insurance (confused.com for the quote, and then bought via Quidco for the cashback, natch!), and something I noticed was that job descriptions can make a huge difference.....when I described Stu as 'driving - delivery driver', it was £50 more than 'driver - parcel delivery'.

Now both of these are perfectly accurate descriptions of what he does for a living, so it's worth playing around with it just to make sure you aren't paying over the odds because of a slight difference in job description.
