Afternoon all,
I snagged an NSD yesterday so I now have 3 NSDs. However today is going to be a spendy day.

Grrrrrrrrrr, this no spending is harder than it looks, no more NSD since the two I posted earlier this week and not one today.
I will have to try harder and put some effort into planning and being careful. The whole point of the exercise I suppose, sometimes it takes a while for me to catch on - doh. I promise to be good a do my planning homework this weekend.
Bye

Good luck with the challenge!I hope that you're not all too knackered after the first week back at school.Whoever let those stink bombs off during morning assembly will be punished,I assure you! :eek::eek:
We've already captured 66 nsds!!
Errr, I don't think those were stink bombs, I think that was Igor cooking lunch :eek:
Jumbo pack of Valium has been locked safely in the drinks cabinet, errr I mean secure safe, in your office Miss Marmite :A along with all the confiscated booze ready for our next NSD shin dig.
Well done to everyone so far this month, anyone struggling, remember, there are lots of days left and it's about changing the way you think so out spending more than about meeting targets , you're all doing fab (btw, it's the taking part does not apply to PE on Monday when last one to the sports field is a rotten egg:rotfl:)

1st = direct debits, so I did a small grocery shop as well
2nd = NSD #1
3rd = NSD #2
4th = payment to streaming service (and an email this morning informs me that was the last, as they're withdrawing the pay monthly for 'free' content service from the end of October), so I did a big A!di shop (using voucher from previous weeks paper) and ordered bits from Amaz0n, Pl@y and eB@y
5th = prescription for strong anti-inflammatory medication (ibupr0fen don't hit the spot, but I'm coping on half dosage of the prescription ones which means they'll last 8 weeks instead of 4). I know some people don't include medications as spends, but count everything bar fresh fruit, veg, milk and sandwich meats (and petrol)
6th - I'm doing my best to sit on my hands, but will report back after I know for sureCheryl0 -
Good Evening Everyone! I have managed my first ever Saturday without spending any money! Woo HOO! 4NSDs! Did spend my Saturday at work, doing ironing and putting up IKEA flat pack furniture, BOO!
Well done folks!"Ye cannae change the laws o' physics"

:hello: Hi all NSDers
And welcome back miss marmite :wave:
Well, I'm back at work today so managed to get in number 4. Have been looking at what I've got left for the month and what I'll need and it's not looking good
so a concerted effort is needed.
I have packed up all cards and purse and left at home; I'm off to mum's next week so won't spend while I'm there but will need transport to her from the station then back again- I have the train tickets already though so that's goodI've also got a trip to London to Holloway on Monday (my three week thing) but managed to get a 'great escape' ticket for that so saved a fiver; am thinking I may have to make it a 'fast' day so I don't spend anything while I'm there lol. They look at you a bit funny if you take sandwiches in and say they are for the day:(
Am relieved I have managed to get a few overtime shifts in this month too as I'll need that for car insurance in October.................but trying not to think about that and just keep the NSDs in the day:)
See you all tomorrow

Hello - checking in to report NSD 2 & 3 for this week - which means I'm on track so far for 3 each week. Monday, Thursday and Saturday, with a possible for today but I'm not counting my chickens on that yet ...
This week I had one of those 'doh' moments, a flash of insight into my spendy habits ... I'd planned that Thursday was a target day for my second NSD, so made sure I took everything in to work so I could make drinks and not give in to the lure of the coffee shop ... All well and good. Then, while patting myself on the back Thursday evening, I caught that evil little voice in my head saying "well, you're spending on groceries on Friday night, so you don't need to take all that, it doesn't matter if you spend on a coffee" - WHOA!
Pleased to report that the coffee shop saw nothing of me Friday too! Boy do I need this challenge!!:D:A:A:A

Going to do some cleaning now, so that should at least keep me occupied for todayNST Dec - NSD: 1/10 Groceries: 1.75/20.00 Misc: 8.10/80.000
