Morning All
TTFTM Glad to hear all went well, now relax, and take care of yourself.
I was going to take myself off to Donny today, but realised there was nothing I really wanted, and am meeting Jayward(lapsed poster) on Thursday in Wakefield, so watch out if you are near there. Its about half way between us, so decided to see somewhere different. So have finished the shredding I started last night, but my shredder gets too warm, and has to have a break, so called it quits, 4 carriers full!! I must start doing it more often. Also had a bit of a clear out from one of the boxes in the cupboard, I managed to part with birthday, christmas & M&D Day cards from everyone apart from each other and DS. I know I have another load of these upstairs, but really don't like parting, but at some point will have to take the plunge, but have some really nice ones. Going through any other papers lying around, either scanning and shredding or filing (I file minimal now). I find I can find things much easier in folders on the computer, backed up of course.:D
Our caravanning friend/neighbour has come round to help DH repair our fence. The back one isn't ours according to the plans, but they will not ever put a fence up, nor stain it, which is a PITA.We have to do it every few years to avoid having to replace the lot. Once painted will look good. I've made a couple of Tuna Pasta bakes, a small one for the freezer and a large one for today. Must use some of my cupboard stuff up, so there was one way. Not sure what to serve with it yet.:o
Even if we do not end up moving, by sprucing the place up now, we will enjoy it for a while. I have a mental list for DH
Welcome along to the newbies :hello: pull up a chair and join in, everyone welcome here.
((hugs)), Spoons, and positive vibes, all round, help yourself to a handful as you pass. Molly how are you doing?
Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Afternoon all,
TTFTM good to see your up and out of hospital.... Time to put your feet up woman and rest!
Dandy, thinking of you at your Aunts funeral. Such a sad time for you.
Jihmd666 I hope all goes well at the dentist.
I'm a grump today. I hadn't ought to be but I am. Hubby even annoys me when he's 150 miles away but that's cause he is ringing me every half an hour to have a moan. He's always miserable and moaning.... does my head in!
On top of that, I ache. Bahh!
Good news, its not official yet but the girls have an adoption going through court tomorrow. Fingers crossed there are no hitches.... and there is the whisper of a new baby in the Baby House towards the end of the week.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day allThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all
Just back from a blowy walk along the prom, certainly blew the cobwebs away.
Menu planned and went shopping, lots of meals to double up when cooking to save time and energy, so lovely to get a ready meal out of the freezer that's been home cooked.
Travel insurance sorted, now I need to do price comparisons for house Insurance due mid September.
Have been really organised and sorted out cards and presents needed for when we are away on a long holiday, cards bought this morning.
I always used to be super organised when I was at work, but seem to have lost that skill since retiring, still I don't need to be now, and I LOVE it!
Hugs to those who need them.Carolbee0 -
OMG - just done an inventory of my insider freezer!!!:eek:

:hello:
Great job with 'stinky dog Lyla', RosyRed! Wonder if it was 'Fox Pee' that she found - my Sandy used to love that stuff.
xx
Lily- :rotfl:haha yes I'm fairly sure that's what it was
So much for me having a quiet house,I ended up minding DGS for a few hours while his Mummy got her nails done and she told me DS2 and DH were on their way home as DS was feeling rough. No point Dh going back, its too far to make it worth while so will have to see how he is tomorrow.DS says he feels like he did when we all had the Noro virus a few weeks ago but hasnt been sick.I just keep scrubbing my hands
So no visit from DGD either for tea. At least the weather picked up-its bright and breezy now,so I took DGS out in the pram and had a nice walk.I did all the ironing before DGS got here and tidied the utility room too,so the engineer will be able to get in there to do the boiler. With any luck he might tell LL it needs a new one,it looks absolutely ancient.
Donny- shredding was one of my biggest jobs when we moved recently, still loads to do.I'm another who likes to keep cards too,but had to steel myself to get rid of some.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Had a change of plan as there were bits in the fridge that needed using so have made a roasted veg and beetroot soup for tonight and will make the spinach one tomorrow now. Fingers crossed they will lIke it and I will put some sour cream in it as well. It does look nice and has a lovely colour to it2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Ugh 4 hours of traipsing around shops, and we're still no closer to being sorted for the wedding or school. Poor, poor dd1 has 2 different sized feet. She was determined to have pumps, but they're just not suitable. She refuses to wear sandals because she 'has horrible toes'. It very nearly ended in a fight and tears so we gave up. I just don't no what to do. Didn't manage to get a cardigan for dd2 either, none her size. On the upside I got a pair of monsoon sandal reduced to £17.50. They're really pretty so I should get plenty of evenings out of them. Got 3 flower clips for £3 and got food!! So there will be no more complaints about the cupboards.LBM 04/10:j

Im slowly going stir crazy!!!!
All I'm doing is eating and sleeping but i have put some weight on:(
Its very hard putting weight on when you have been conditioned all your life to watch your weight? Anyhow Im trying - thank you for asking x
Need some energy from somewhere as my house is a real mess and needs a good declutter and tidy. I have given myself to Christmas to get it sorted as I think that is realistic given everything that is going on:xmastree:
Been to see Mum - she is doing well now so that is positive and dad made a miracle recovery - from near death to health in a week. One day he will catch us out - very sad:(
Sorry not a lot positive to post.
Donny how a bout Northamptonshire for your move - there are some very pretty villages and we are an hour from North London. It doesn't take us long when we go into London for appointments x
Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Good to see you Molly, sorry you are bored, but you are looking after yourself that is the main thing. You need to be strong for your next op.
Much love

Good news - Mr LW is going back to work tomorrow.:T:T:T I shall really miss having him here, but it means he's healed enough to resume work, which is all good.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
