Please help with wireless laptop connection

    Sounds to me like Orange have changed the WEP key. Think that you will need to reconfigure settings.
    a) Plug the laptop into the router/livebox using a lan cable
    b) Open internet explorer. Try and go to Google and search for something (moneysavingexpert maybe ;-)) If it connects your laptop is not configured correctly.

    To get more of an idea could you please tell me what Operating system you are using? I can give you a better list if I know this

    The OP hasn't made it clear whether they can even connect by ethernet which if they can't is nothing to do with WEP key.

    Did you read my post in it's entirety? I suggested the trying the ethernet connection, just as you did before me. I merely mentioned the encryption key because in my experience keys are changed when routers are sent in for repair.
    I didn't say that's what the problem was, just that it sounds like a common symptom related to the problem.
    I don't want to argue, I want us all to help angelcake out.
