Can I use SkyGo on BT YouView TV

Options
My mother has Sky TV and therefore SkyGo for which I have access to, but in my house I have BT TV in the form of BT Infinity and a YouView box. Is there any way to use SkyGo on a Youview box through a download or app or something? Or is it not possible?

Currently I just use SkyGo on my laptop or phone at home but it seems silly when I have a perfectly good TV and TV package I pay for which should also be able to display Sky Go which is paid for legitimately.

Any advice appreciated.

Sam

If you live in different houses, it is not legitimately being used.
Payment is for use of the account holder on her equipment

You may have access to it but its your mum who is paying for it.
Im surprised Sky hasn't cottoned on to this yet.
(im not judging, my daughter who lives down the road has one device she accesses SKYGO on)
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

By the way, SKYGO doenst exist anymore, this gave access to 2 devices free.
They have stopped this now and it is changed to SKYGO extra which covers 4 devices and costs £5 a month.

Good point - but I pay her bill but agreed I am using the access on my devices as opposed to hers which it is ultimately being paid for.

Either way do you know of a way of hooking it up to work from a BT YouView box?

Really? It's still listed as Sky Go and Sky Go Extra on their website, with the former being free for Sky TV customers and the latter costing £5 a month.

Connect your laptop to the TV?

I have (or should I say my daughter has) used 2 devices free, I got a letter a month ago saying it was stopping and Sky Go Extra was starting, although this does actually does only say SkyGo on the Aps.
    Very confusing

"Sky Go" & "Sky Go Extra" remain separate options.

The change made was that from 29/7/14 usage via games consoles requires Sky TV customers to have "Sky Go Extra" at an additional £5 per month or included with Sky Multiscreen.

Previously, the Xbox 360 was treated as a compatible "Sky Go" device that could be accessed "free" by Sky subscribers.

...but Sky don't know that the "legitimate" user isn't just visiting another person's house and using their connection -after all, one of the selling points of Sky Go is watching whilst on the move!! My nephew is using Sky Go to watch Sky Sports at university on another relative's account -and they live over 250 miles apart!! They don't tie to the IP address, just the device MAC.:)
