I'm very ordinary, you would never think it was me if I was behind you in the queue at the Supermarket getting a stack of food for my family! I love the fact I stay completely anonymous on here and just give the PPCs clues such as 'spot me in the crowd at the Amex stadium' and 'I work in a school somewhere in Sussex'!

So I've sent my appeal and their auto response says they require the PCN number, full postal address and name of the motorist.

I have included the PCN number and my name at the bottom but I do not declare myself as the driver nor did I include my postal address. Surely all they need is the PCN as they already have my details otherwise how did they find me to invoice...?

    Thank you again everyone.

I honestly would never thought of appealing if it weren't for the helpful people here and everywhere. I've never been ticketed for parking in a car park ever so it was a shock to the system. That's one thing off my mind. For now at least!

So they've rejected my appeal as expected and have provided a popla code.

Reasons are not purchasing a ticket, maintains that their signs are visible and all the other usual stuff. My comment about the car park being derelict, they say although other bays were available, they have to continue issuing notices to deter motorists from breaching their terms and conditions.

Payments is requested by 16th September or will revert to the higher rate.

It's been a while since I checked up on all this so please could someone point me in the direction of what to do in terms of the next stage of appealing to popla. Thank you.

Yep - on the Newbies thread post #3 there is a link 'How to win at POPLA' and in there I've included an Excel Peel Centre example. May need hardly a tweak!

I didn't mean the land was derelict, but that the car park was derelict. As I said, it was almost closing time so the car park was empty and if I had taken a space during busy times then fair enough they lost a quid or so.

Anyways, I've read through the popla appeal template and most of it makes no sense to me! However I understand the main points. My pcn is only £60 but still works out at over £2 a minute as I was only there for 31 minutes.

The nandos part is irrelevant to me as I was in currys.

Post 20 by the awesome coupon mad is very detailed and seems the perfect template. I guess I just need to adjust the charge and add my details.

correct, remove the nandos part and adapt it slightly as its your appeal, but do not remove all the legal jargon you dont understand

I think you mean deserted , not derelict , but deserted or not its a 24/7 pay and display private car park , so non-payment = trespassing

My apologies, deserted was the word I should of used so thanks for correcting me. Would it be ok to include a sentence in the no pre estimate loss that the vehicle was only clocked for 31 minutes so the breakdown of the pcn works out at over £2 a minute, extremely excessive by anyone's standards.
