Couple of questions...
Has it ever connected successfully to this hub before? Is it relatively old?
Some older wireless cards don't like newer security policies such as WPA2, you may need to update the wireless drivers on the laptop*.
* Note that some really old cards won't support WPA2 and some may not even support WPA.0 -
it has connected for about six months no probs but recently it would connect sometimes but now it wont connect at all0
-
Remove the wireless network profile for the laptop in control panel and network and sharing centre then manage wireless networks .
Remove the profile then reconnect. Restart the hub too.Kind Regards,
Arron

At the top of that screen is a list of connected devices to help you ID things.
My own experience is to add a little USB dongle to an old Dell that does not have a wireless card, circa £15.00.
So please ask for more help as you progress. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hi - can you tell us the EXACT model number of your hp pavilion please?0 -
Can you eliminate this, try running a network cable from the router in to the laptop.
Does it pickup anything?Kind Regards,
