I use the Vodafone with free weekends and stop the clock too!
I top up £15 online at vodafone and they give you an extra 10% of your top up. I buy bundles of minutes and texts. I then TEXT LIKE MAD to catch up with my mates over the weekend and I seem to get quite good value for money from my set up.
I also found out the if you are on Vodafone and fancy a new phone, Vodafone will knock a tenna off the handset price if you trade your old one in against it with the charger - and it can be the oldest naffest phone going, you will still get £10 off.
I do not know if this helps anyone, it is just from my own experience using vodafone.

Take Care, everyone, and wish me luck for my surgery next month,

    Merri x

you need to top up to get the £2.50? Anyone know? Ta.

    Good luck merriwen.
  • Yes, that's been confirmed by T-Mobile.

Why are my posts being edited by other users? I asked whether that had been confirmed by t-mobile. I did not state, as my edited post that it had been....

One pound for 24 hours web browsing, I assume that means from 00:01 to 24:00? Rather than being able to spend one pound and get an afternoons use and then the next morning effectively using your 24 hours across 2 days?

    Hi Richard,

You only get the free texts on the weekend following the top up, so you have to top up each Friday you want free weekend texts. The offer will last for six months from when you signed up and you have to sign up before 16 October 2007.

    This is correct.
  • Hmm, this sucks compared to their 'Free evening and weekend texts' for a tenner a month. Debating weather to go onto Vodafone now, although I do text alot during the week so it'd cost way more then just 2.50 to get the free texts.

Does Top-Up Friday start on/after the 16th October? Topped up a tenner (one transaction) today about 6, 20mins later got a text saying successful/tenner but nothing about Top-Up Friday (opted in the same day they sent me the text, they sent a text back saying you're already receiving free texts, they=t-mobile).

Called 150 and it dosn't say I'm on free evening/weekend texts or top-up Friday. Sent 'FRIDAY' to '441' 3 times before topping up (no texts back apart from first time) and once since topping up, nothing. And yep, no free texts!

    Anyone else?
