Let me get this right. In a country where black people are systematically discriminated against (education, employment, academia, housing) a company discriminates against white people and white people get upset? Hang on, seems a bit rich to me. I'd be happy to see this company be asked to end its policy once we've eradicated all discrimination against black people. I think that's fair. As in equal. As in balanced.

Oh, and by the way the top artists in the 1estra black music list are all white. I think the music industry could do with a bit of reflection.

Ed Sheeran represents urban music.. Since when?!!! That article is absurd. I didn;t even need to look beyond the headlines after seeing that.

Could you prove your statement please? I would be really interested to hear about housing descrimination. Being a Mortgage Adviser I have done many applications for a Right To Buy council properties. There wasn't a single application from a white European person.

All seems a bit of a minefield
I am, we are from a minority in the country we came from too.

Looks like it "At the 2011 census, the Southall Broadway ward had a White British population proportion of just 3.5%"
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

If you have too much of an emphasis on one side you balance it. When you drive too far in one lane you correct by driving in the other direction. You don't refuse to turn the wheel on principle and crash into a wall.

We are heavily balanced in favor of white, middle-class, heterosexual men in this country. We need to balance that. Seems more than fair enough to me.

I won't waste a nano-second in feeling sorry for a group of people who are privileged when they find that another group may possibly be offered some of the opportunities they've monopolised for themselves. Boo hoo! Poor little privileged majority. Awww!

    Your last paragraph??!! grow up.

You don't prevent someone from getting a job because of who they are. Whether they come a "privileged" sector of society, or not.

Should we also award custody to a father instead of a mother just because men are in the minority when it comes to being awarded custody of their children?

How can you compare driving in the right lane to correcting who you should allow to apply for jobs. One is social engineering, the other is performing a daily activity safely!

SO, let me get this right, you want to deny someone an opportunity because of their skin colour/ethnicity to 'correct' any implied racism. Nice and logical that!!!!!

How do you make this out, then? My school took everyone who lived within a few miles of it. I don't recall any distinctions being made based on ethnic background.
