How can I find out years I lived at old addresses?

Options
Hi, sorry if wrong forum, but I wanted to check out dates I lived at addresses but going back some years. Is there anywhere I can check? I looked at that 192.com but that's only up to date electoral roll.

Thanks

Why do you need to know this?

If it's to do with applying for a bank account, or something similar, they will run checks with one or more credit reference agencies.

So you could request copies of your credit report from each of the CRAs (at £2 each). Then you will see what the bank will see about your address history. And you can make sure your application matches the CRAs' records.

Sorta like asking us where to find the registration number of your first car, or your birthplace. If you don't know .....

It's the difference between the date you moved in and the date you moved out. Surely you at least know what year you did those?

I know everywhere I have ever lived. All the addresses, and the dates I moved in AND when I left (roughly, within a month or two.)

I think your only real hope is your memory. There isn't going to be an actual register of every place that every individual person has lived.

Do you have old rental agreements, house purchase contract details?

Your local council *might* disclose to you the dates you were registered for council tax at each property, if they were satisfied it was your own records you were asking about.

Most vetting only requires the last 5 years - how far are you having to go back?

Well good for you! Sounds like you have a good memory.
I wish I had one as good as you. Can I employ you as my PA? This current PA needs a PA for herself! :rotfl:

I have moved about A LOT. Do I remember the dates I moved into a property at 17 (I am now 32) and moved out of the next summer. No not really.
Between 17 and 32 a lot has happened in my life including several bereavements and house moves. DO I remember the dates and years? No not really. I wasn't that bothered about paying attention when crises after crises was happening.

Sometimes I don't remember dates and times this year, let alone 10 years ago. You don't know someone's personal situation and life so I really wouldn't get cocky about what you can remember.

Maybe I have early onset of Alzeimers. Oh sh8t. Better not joke about that, my grandfather got it at 40.

    To the OP.

There isn't really anywhere to find this out other than maybe calling the old landlord or asking friends and family to help out.
If like me the relatives that MIGHT know have all died, best to look at old paper work if you can.
If like me this is no go, then there isn't a lot you can do other than guess the rough times.
EG summer of 2006 to Winter 2007 type of thing.
Was it a flat share? Could you contact old flat mates on facebook?

Perhaps more information might help us help you?

you could try ordering old bank statements which should show the address?Assuming you always changed the address with people.

I would tend to do it based on jobs and ask myself where did I live during that job, when did i move? and then i suppose one would google/street view it if can't remember the exact number of the road, see if that rings a bell.

But I probably do have all bank statements since 16 so covers all addresses (plus all council tax bills) so would have back up here anyway.

If you was registered on the electoral register at each address this information would be shown on your credit report.

I assume you mean lived at rather than owned? - if the latter then the addresses may reveal the dates for you as to when the ownership changed with us.
However I suspect you mean the former here
