The reason I fed up with them as they are a waste of paper and I cannot spend £60 in a single shop.

    1: Recycle
2: I can and do spend £60 every week as do many others and take up offers from sainsburys WHEN it applies. If I get one that says a £70 shop, I throw it away.
3: I get lots of offers for milk. I don't drink milk. I bought it ONCE for my sister.
4: I get bombarded with school vouchers. I don't have kids.
5: I get vouchers for a brand of cat food I don't buy or use. Ever.

    It's called marketing!

Recycle your vouchers or pass them to someone who will use them instead (another form of recycling)

OR stop shopping at supermarkets and support your local business instead.
The more I live the more I am shocked by ignorance, the more I realise we as a human race are doomed because of the chains we continue to wear.
People need to open their minds to the myriad of possibilities even in traditional circumstances. If I could delete my MSE account I would.

To digress, if everyone who goes into the store on a Saturday morning did their shopping online the whole system would collapse. But I agree too much bumpf being churned out at the tills.

I don't object to these coupons, but Sainsburys keep sending them out to regular customers even though they are for a first online shop only. They get very snotty if you use them more than once, even if its a different coupon. There is a way around it by using a different email address, but I've given up on Sainsburys after several years and defected to Morrisons - my weekly shop is now at least 30% cheaper.
  • I simply throw it on the floor either as soon as I'm given it or ideally near the entrance so it looks messy.

If we all do that they'll soon get the message...or not.

I simply look down on people when I'm out shopping who haven't figured out how to use a bin yet. Even more so if the excuse for littering is a childish self centred one.

It's just being socially uneducated not being able to use a bin. How someone can also be proud of the fact leaves a lot to be desired. To the point when criticising a business for simply advertising it's promotions and then doing the above anti social act is just pure hypocrisy but acting in an even lower standard of behaviour because of it's pure childishness.

Even if the £60 in one shop is no good to you I often get others which are £2 off a £30 shop or £3 off a £30 shop. They can hand them to me as often as they like!

My friend works for them and had several screwed up and thrown at her

People throw them at her?!? Really?!?

My local Sainsburys has a bin by the self service tills for you to put any unwanted coupons/reciepts in. As you have to walk past it to leave I don't see any issue with dropping them in if I don't want them.

A bin is in full view by the self service checkouts I have used in may stores.

I just take whatever coupons are churned out and shred any that aren't relevant, no effort at all.

I just leave them laying in the shopping trolley.
