Sainsburys £12 off £60 online shopping coupons

Options
Why do Sainsburys need to issue these with 70% of transactions? If you have no Nectar card or left it at home, you always get one.

I have phoned Sainsburys careline several times and they are not interested that it's a waste of paper nor annoying.

If Sainsburys were supposed to be the green supermarket, then put a link on the home page then if anyone is interested, to go online.

My friend works for them and had several screwed up and thrown at her colleagues are sick of bins full of them.

I wish Sainsburys will stop printing these all the bloody time!

The phrase 'moaning for the sake of it' springs to mind.

    Surely once would be enough?

It's marketing, it's up to them how they do it.
If Sainsburys were supposed to be the green supermarket

Don't see the point here as paper can be recycled.

As a person on a low income I rely on offers like this. Online shopping was too expensive in the past and now it's easier with lower charges and offers. As someone who is 7 weeks post op I have relied heavily on offers and marketing.
Yes some of those offers are printed when you don't have your nectar card because it's trying to lure in those who may not do online shopping. I was one of them!
I think you will find a lot of deals are wasted paper for those who don't need or take them up.
If you want to moan about wasted paper, then why do I get FOUR magazine/fliers worth of local shop offers every week.

I could argue I don't use them and therefore a waste.
Well..it's not, because a lot of people around here use the local supermarkets. I don't and use Sainsburys instead.

Each to their own. Take the paper home and put it in your recycling bin or better yet, chuck the receipts in sainsburys bins.
A business may say they are green, but the fact is, they are a business and marketing works.
If it didn't there would not be any customers!

    EDIT to add:
A relative of mine, moans constantly about the 3 for £10 offer on meat. I personally rely on these and freeze the meat I don't need until I do. It works out better value for ££ (and yes I have spent time really looking to see if they are deals of not)
He is single and refuses to pay EDF for the electricity to power his freezer.
    Well, that's his choice!
My other relative who was single for a long time often found portions too big. Myself and partner often don't eat the same thing so we often have the same problem. So we freeze it.
    No biggie.

There will always be someone who doesn't like what is on offer.

I don't have a nectar card and got one when I bought a pack of two mechanical pencils yesterday.

I used Sainsburys online shopping about 2 years ago, yet get these coupons everytime I swipe my Nectar card.

Yes, because the computer understands you haven't been online shopping in a long time therefore it's marketing to try to get you to, you know, go online shopping!
I get them when I haven't done shopping online in a while.

    No biggie.

I'm not really sure what the problem here is.
If you don't want the vouchers just throw them in Sainsburys bins.

or feel free to post them to me with your nectar card number and I will make use of them ;0)

The reason I fed up with them as they are a waste of paper and I cannot spend £60 in a single shop.

Perhaps you would like to tell me what to do with the 3 - 4 pizza leaflets I get through my door every week then.

As previous people have said, it's a lure to get you to spend online.

The only way not to get them is don't go into Sainsbury's to shop. Job done.

Also I get on my Nectar app highlights for Sainsbury's offers to me. At least 99% of the offers are no good for me. Should I complain to them about the waste of data usage and phone charging electricity cost?
