Good evening all.
Hope we are all well.
Does anyone understand technology at all? I've purchased a new television and I am trying to connect it to the Sky box and struggling massively. The tv says it has to be fitted with a HDMI1 connecting hole thing but the Sky box has a scart connecting hole thing. Does anyone know if such a thing exists or is the Sky box not compatible with the tv? Eeeeeek.
Thanks all.0 -

Is it an old Sky box, or Sky HD?

Maybe take a pic of TV connecting holes and post it here? That might help the teccies.
What brand and model number is the TV?'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

David, the Sky Box does not have one of those small sockets. It's got one of those huge SCART socket hole things.
Zippy, the tv has a HDMI1 and a HDMI2 socket hole thing.
The Sky Box is a Panasonic one. The tv is a Technica thing. I know it sounds cheap and nasty and I am beginning to think it is.

I have just had a very rude man knock on my door:(wearing a high vis jkt and with a clipboard(both of which can be purchased in the £1 shop;)) telling me they are working in the area and it looked like I was in need of a new driveway .On telling him I could not afford to have that done he promptly said how the hell do you know I haven't told you the price yet with that I shut the front door a bit pronto and left him muttering to himself. On a Sunday afternoon at 5 oclock I don't think so:rotfl::rotfl:
Not wishing to generalize, but did he have an Irish accent....
and not wanting to have a stereotypical view was he called Paddy ?
and not wishing to cast aspersions, but did he drive a Transit flatbed and have a fridge on the back ?0 -

Aww girl, you are scaring me now. I know how to take pictures, but it goes straight over my head if I have to put them on here. I've read the instructions but they went over my head.:(
