It funny but I don't understand myself why I will forgive anything of my children and don't bear grudges for the bad they've done but I'm not forgiving with my mum. Perhaps its because I blame myself for their behaviour
Glad to give support.
With forgiving people, I think you're right. I am less forgiving of my mum because I see her as the adult and should know better. My kids are all little so I automatically blame myself as I'm teaching them. I guess this continues as you don't switch off being a parent, do you? A friend of mine's youngest is in his 30s but needed her to make a few phone calls and sort things out while he was on holiday so she did but she said it was like he was reverting back to being a teenager and needing her to do things instead of an independent man who left home years ago!0 -
I've just been looking at the sp for iOS 8

Afternoon peeps, hope all are well.
I've just got in from work (3 weddings today, phew!) and want to dash off to A to finally get a JF oil shop in. Please can anyone tell me does it comp v S at £4 or do I need to do it against M at £6? I've looked back but can't see and I need to go. Thanks in advance, Lutz xxHope is not a strategy.0 -

Afternoon all
DD and I are having an indulgent day. We've been away to Aviemore on the train and went swimming and she went to the soft play while I had coffee and cakeI've now just ordered us a Domino's for dinner! Couldn't be bothered to think about what to heat up
so thought we'd have a wee treat seeing as there is some money in my Paypal account

Afternoon all, still in my pjs today, not like me but having a couldnt care less day
Evangaline, try not to be too hard on yourself and overthink things. Just being aware of how you feel towards SS shows that you care. OH is stepdad to my 2 eldest - he came on the scene when they were 6 and 9. different situation to yours but I can empathise with your struggles.
OH has always been amazing with his stepkids and I know he loves them to bits but I can see a difference in the way he was with the steps to the way he is with our 2 together. I have mentioned it before now and it upsets him that I feel there is a difference. He was always fair and caring with them but was big on "they have to learn to do things for themselves" but with our 2 he is over protective and is like a mini butler to them lol. The thing is - I get it and am not critisising when I say I can see a difference, I understand that it must have been difficult for him as well as for the kids.
As for Natwest Gocat  I seem to be getting charged every month when I never seemed to before. Looking for a good one to switch to but cant make up my mind which one. Halifax is looking like a possibility as they have a £100 switching bonus and the terms look good. We have been with NATWEST a fair while now so I am dithering (not like me )
hi
I've just switched from Natwest to Halifax - well requested the switch on 22nd Aug and chose 5th Sept for switch to complete (couple of dd's to go through at start of Sept, hopefully will be £100 richer soon.
Didn't have any problem with NatWest but the £100 tempted me away. NatWest have emailed to say switch will be complete by the 5th.Good that newbie avatar has gone0 -
