Was it a works pension or from the DWP?

If it was the DWP I would ring them and give them his address

Actually I would probably have binned it and thought ha ha no pension for you old chum

Its Royal Mail works pension .

I have binned some of the letters when DS forgot to take them down.

I would perhaps get in touch again and advise them that if they do not act upon the info given by you and that if you receive further mail from them you will consider it as harassment and open an official complaint with the RM or take other appropriate action. RM will know this and know they themselves are causing harassment/distress by sending it to you....ie. breaking the law. The DP line is utter nonsense.

Once that's done just cross the name/address with RTS and put back in a post box.

Opening somebody elses mail is not illegal so you've done nothing wrong there. It only becomes an offence if you take info from that mail and act to cause harm/detriment to the adressee/other.

Hopefully posting my letter and RM letter to him will be the end of them.

Tweets, get in touch with royal mail, either customer services or the local delivery office from where your mail comes from and ask them to put a 'special instruction' on the appropriate frame. Give your full name and any others living at your address, including middle names and ask that only mail for these names to be delivered. This should not be a problem. Better customer sevices as emails from them come through separately and have to be dealt with on a daily basis.
Hope this helps and anyone else having this problem.
Royal mail do return any refused mail to the sender but then it is up to that company to take that name off the mailing list. Usually they dont.
If anyone receives mail that is un required, just write RTS on envelope and pop in to a post box or give it to the postperson.
