Also please can I ask what people have been buying with their Groupon and Livingsocial discounts - I've yet to do my orders yet.
I've got 15 per cent code for livingsocial to be used by tommorow. The same for Groupon deals but another of my emails has a £10 off when you spend £20 and I am very keen to use this but I am struggling.
Quite a few things you have to use within 90 days
And looking at the food offers most of them seem to be for afternoon teas which we have done to death, steak and chips or burger type meals - suits OH the carnivore but not me.
I've been trying to find a Italian meal with wine offer or 2 courses with wine offer, no success.
I've got 2 things to buy with livingsocial - giving me good excuses to keep going to Liverpool incase John Lewis don't send anymore coffee cake vouchers.
I am looking at offers for Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, York, West Yorkshire, North Yorks, Birmingham - still nothing inspires me
I indulged earlier today with a romantic one night stay in B'mth, bottle prosecco, rose petals and choccies in room, 2 course meal and breakfast for just over £100 with the 15% off. Early check in 1pm.
My excuse is it is nearly Mr TS's birthday.0 -

Yes 2 - that are impressible ages - Social Services are involvedSo pleased to hear you are looking out for your neighbour. If he has abused her mentally, she won't know what to do without him. He has probably done the "you are so fat/ugly/moose like that no one will ever want anything to do with you" live on her so much she actually believes it now. If you can get her to attend a group for people who have suffered from domestic abuse, it will be perfect for her. They buddy folk up so they have someone to confide in who has been through it in the past. Good luck to her and hope you are OK too.Yes she go so thin this year it was scary

Tesco - another store that really could not care if I shop there or not
OH can't see why I love Asda - yes ours is delightfully scummy but even so I do get a buzz shopping in there :j
A question Savvy - I keep forgetting to ask.
On COS there is 40p cashback for a pack of Birds Eye fish fingers - 12s or 14s - is there such a thing as a £1 pack - I seem to remember getting fish fingers as part of a !!!!!! v Sada shop.
I've found a 6 pack for £1 and value fish fingers £1 - not sure about these - but what is the next cheapest 12 or 14 pack?
Apparently these, Tvs M (although go carefully there, maybe best just to buy them in M if they are this price - I've no idea from instore as, if they were, they were too high-priced for me, unable to take into account things such as COS).
I remember the Flora(?) Buttery did not compare on Tvs M - therefore, due to issues with Morries instore collection, buy in M!
Birds Eye 100% Fillet Fish Fingers (14 per pack - 350g)
£3.00 at
85.7p/100g
Add to basket
Price Comparison
M [Strike]£2.99[/Strike] £1.40
S [Strike]£2.25[/Strike] £2.00
T £3.00
W £3.00
O £3.00
A N/A
:doh:Took me a bit of time to work out why you wanted specifically 12 or 14 pack.
12 pack - Birds Eye Fish Fingers with Omega 3 (12 per pack - 336g) - T £2.75 or S £2.25 vs A £1.50 (or Avs M filler N/A:eek::eek::rotfl:) - are more expensive in any event at A's price. These have been cheaper before in A (£1.37), according to msm, but still more expensive per fish finger than M's £1.40 BE 14 pack.
If it's "fish" fingers you want, rather than specifically "Cod", I usually go for S/P Fish Fingers 60p vs 60p T/M (not vs Sains. as we know they are well dear:eek:). BE "Value" fish fingers 10 pack at £1 would have appeared to work out same price with 40p COS, but seems COS does not cover 10 pack. (Although, had it done so, all hypothetical, would have been better than S/P due to 10p on 10% Avs T rather than 6p 10% for the S/P, on the 'right' comps.).
I like the word "Value":D. And I notice what that word does there. It suggests on the one hand that the fish fingers are therefore better value. Therefore it appeals to a certain audience there. But also it seemed to suggest, and make you doubt, as to whether they were ones to be buying. I quote what you say: "not sure about these". I wouldn't put it past them to be the exact same fish fingers as in the packs that aren't called "Value" but, of course, they can sell those for much more expensive. What a good word, for the manufacturers - that can simultaneously work in respect of several different audiences and target markets!
You won't believe how much it takes just to find out which fish fingers work out best price here!:( Had to search msm, in all stores:(:(, for both 12 and 14 pack. Of course we used to get a particular "cod fish fingers" version vs T when that worked. It looks like the 14 pack, on Morries (alleged) price, are the same price per unit as the 10 pack BE "Value" fish fingers on straight pricing. However, 40p off £1.40 does not work out like £1.00 -40p. So - 14 pack for £1:think:. On weight, it's 28.57...p/100g (including the COS), as compared to 21.6p/100g on the S/P Fish Fingers (including the APG vs T/M).
So, even with the COS, the BE 14 pack still work out more expensive (than S/P with 10%). Or, even, still more expensive than SP/Eday Value/Savers Fish fingers bought at straight 60p price (24p/100g). That depends whether or not you think BE are better 'quality' than S/P etc. of course, or whether S/P (etc.) is adequate enough for you. The 10 BE Value would have worked out better price per unit (than S/P), if the COS had applied to them, and if they were put on a Avs T comp. for 10p off as 10%. However, as I understand from your post that the COS is only for 12 or 14 pack, this option does not appear to be available. In short, therefore, S/P still work out cheaper!! And both they and the BE are "fish" fingers.
