It's only school level stuff which usually means you can't do much more than say your name and know a load of words.
I definitely can't hold a conversation with anyone in either French or German at the moment.
If anyone has ever learnt or knows German the der, die and das is driving me potty!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
On top of other things at the moment I'm learning German
I've got a German-born friend, who's lived and worked in this country for over twenty years now, but when she first moved here, she found it hard to pick up on some of the nuances of conversation and particularly English humour, Germans being a more 'literal' people (according to her), so I made her some little signs (on pieces of cardboard, stuck onto short bits of bamboo) saying 'Irony', 'Double Entendre' and 'Innuendo', so when she was with a group of us talking in a pub or wherever, we could hold up one of the signs so she could get the gist of the unsaid bits of the conversation. She's still got the signs, though her spoken and written English was always pretty good, and is perfect now - much better than mine; in fact she got a job on the strength of her language skills.
I knew that she had mastered the English language when, one time when I was expressing doubts about doing something, she called me a "big girl's blouse":rotfl:'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Aaww shame but thanks for answer
If you haven't done so already, it is worth closing any unused casino accounts (I always say no longer required) - you can then attempt new accounts at a later date (different username and email account and payment card if possible to increase your chances.
Always decline any bonuses as they then at least cannot try accusing you of promotion/bonus abuse which is in most t and cs as a definite no no.
For anyone moving house, the new address sometimes offers an opportunity for repeats (not always as some do a credit check to confirm address is legit).

That was a pretty good idea :T
My favourite saying at the moment is 'Deutsche sprache, schwere sprache'
I figured in the future if I ever want to leave my job and move on it could be beneficial to have a few skills.
Language seems to be something I can try and learn at home without it costing anything (I do love the internet) and may be handy for any future CVsHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55
