Need help asap with ee

Options
Hi my names shaun im 21,

i currently have a contract with ee and its been nothing but stress,

they raised my contract price a while ago and ever since ive been fighting a losing battle

They took there fees out of my account the other day and then tried taking another set of fees about a week later

then i receive a phone call from Moorcroft debt recovery saying that ee have been in contact with them and that i have missed payment with moorcroft when i questioned this and told them i was under the understanding that i was dealing with ee they told me they would get back to me i then receive a letter in the post today in a yellow envelope stating that further action will be taken from moorcroft i rung them up and was told my account will be put on hold for 2 weeks until they can get the information they had from ee to me but the problem is im paying ee for a ipad and iphone combo they never once activated the ipad

Its becoming a big problem for me battling this and depression

"some days i think id be better off dead than have to deal with all this"

  • How long do you have before the contract comes to an end?

How long have you been with them?

Have you tried to make a payment to either party but they declined?

Do Moorcroft have any account reference numbers quoted on the letter for EE? I am sure if the debt collection company are writing to you, they will have all the information before contacting you. Usually, the only time they will put the account on hold is if they have to query anything with the client (EE) like if you have made payments to them or sent correspondence to them and Moorcroft have not been kept in the loop.

Have you advised EE that they have not activated the Ipad?

How many months overdue are you? What arrears do you actually have?

I've never heard of a company sending an account to a DCA that is only days overdue.

What have you done about this in the previous year or so, and what do you mean by activated.

Often the iPad in a promotion offer is not a 3G model, its just an ipad, Do you mean by activation if never worked, or that you've never used it online? If its the first you may have a case, if never used online, it may not be online capable.

Contract prices have never been truly fixed, increases below the RPI, or if it's a government charge (like when VAT was increased) have always been permitted.

As D123 said, how and when did you stop paying and how far in arrears are you?
When you stopped paying what were the circumstances?

As above, it is not a fixed price contract.

It seems to me that the OP has entered into an agreement with Moorcroft's to pay them the debt and Moorcroft's will be adding on the usual admin fees etc. increasing the original debt.
Hard to figure without more detail
