Bailiffs, LOL! Please read this:I'm i best posting my appeal or sending it via e-mail? What are the likes of them accepting my appeal or do all have to go to POPLA? With a newborn baby the thought of a long process and bailiffs turning up is giving me nightmares. Should i just pay the £60?

Come on POPLA is a short & simple process, as easy as shelling peas now you are on this forum and can easily be fitted around the new baby. You will win, this is simple. You are over thinking it - send the first template appeal by email so then you will get an acknowledgement (don't READ it though, please let's not have another post about the acknowledgement auto-response). At least sending by email means you will know they've got the template appeal OK. Yes you will need to do POPLA but I've collated templates for that as well, around running my own household with a husband and four kids so it's not problematic for you to use the templates with a new baby to see to as well, I promise. Hope the little one is doing well?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry I guess i'm been a nuisance to you all but I've never had, done anything like this before. Not even joined a site forum like this so its all new.
So today I shall copy the first template under the green writing and e-mail as it gives an e-mail address next to the postal address.
On some posts it says not to admit the driver/registered keeper but i noticed on my PNC it states I must state this.
As for landowner. I don't know who this is as its like a mini retail park and we were just having a walk round i did purchase from two shops not much hence not keeping receipts.
So first step today send off my template to VCS.
Thank you for guiding me so far and sorry I panic and worry.

Ignore what it says on the PCN. They often say you have to name the driver, but by law you do not have to. Just appeal as keeper.
As for finding out who the land owner is, this may be needed by doing a bit of google research and perhaps research of local planning agreements on your local gov website.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
OP, you are making too much of a meal of this.
You have committed a very minor trespass or breach of contract which has cost the landowner nothing. However, the people with whom said landowner is in cahoots, see this as an opportunity to try to scam you out of a largish sum of money.
This is not right, but they have every right to try it on. It is no big deal, the worst you are guilty of is a minor infringement of some petty rules in a free car park.
Now, get a grip, take a deep breathe and, unless you want to pay, sort out how you can cost the scammers money.
For a start you can write letters of complaint to all the retail outlets in the park threatening never to darken their doors again. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
just to agree with all the above posts, DO NOT NAME THE DRIVER , ignore what they say in their PCN as you are not compelled to name the driver
just use the template letter "AS IS" and dont try to alter it or remove anything at all - just send it as your appeal but add the PCN number , - you are sending it as RK in response to the pcn to the RK - nothing more , nothing less
this is likely to generate a rejection and a POPLA 10 digit code
check that code is valid using the parking cowboys checker , check the expiry date
copy and paste a VCS popla appeal from the link in post #3 of the newbies thread into notepad and save it
now adapt that VCS appeal in notepad and just tailor it to suit your own circumstances and this car park
IF it happens to be a common car park like RHA or JLA etc then adapt a recent popla appeal for that car park in recent threads on here , if not stick with the ones linked by coupon-mad in here post #3 and adapt accordingly
so that is 2 copy and paste appeals to do, the second one for popla can eventually be pasted on here for checking , minus your personal info so no pcn number, no popla number etc on it - just the appeal
once approved, you add the personal stuff and submit online at the popla website , attaching your appeal to your submission on that site , ticking all boxes EXCEPT stolen (3 of 4 boxes)
do what we tell you is necessary, NOT what VCS say as they just want all the money in your purse - we dont want them to have one penny of your money - thats the difference
if this is all too much for you and you really cannot manage what we say , pay parkingticketappeals.org £16 and they will do the above for you0 -
Every poster here is new to it - people don't collect these for fun (except us!). That's why I wrote template letters for all the newbies even though I detest templates!Sorry I guess i'm been a nuisance to you all but I've never had, done anything like this before. Not even joined a site forum like this so its all new.
Yep, good, step 1 of two done!So today I shall copy the first template under the green writing and e-mail as it gives an e-mail address next to the postal address.
Don't believe the scammers. Would you read a phishing email and believe it?On some posts it says not to admit the driver/registered keeper but i noticed on my PNC it states I must state this.
Doesn't matter - this can be beaten just with the 2 stage appeal. As for landowner. I don't know who this is as its like a mini retail park
And once you can use a massive forum like this one (I know of no forum bigger than MSE) you can use any forum easily. Practise searching the forum and use the 'forum jump' (bottom right) to see how easy it is to flit around from thread to thread then back 'home' to page one of posts. 'Mumsnet' is a good forum for you once you've sussed this one, perhaps, or another forum with people with mutual interests. They work in a similar way and you just need to know how to get around and search for stuff.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
