I've pretty much given up on the dating sites for all the reasons mentioned above. Can't even find someone nice to have a decent chat with, never mind date. Haven't been out since before Christmas and no chance of meeting anyone at work. Good job I enjoy the single life!

what are you complaining about? all the boys are in your yard already! very DFW! That song always makes me laugh.

damn, is that the bloke version of subtle?

Your dealing with a bloke. Subtlety is wasted. If you were trying to seduce a girl, then (alas), you'd need subtlety...

You girls have is so easy... :p
anyway time to move on! not doing much - very much like Sammz, becoming a hermit and not meeting anyone. I have a couple of nights out lined up though so might meet someone then...yeah right...

Have faith woman. Remember, plenty eye contact. Copious amounts of eye-contact. In fact, next time you meet friend, keep looking at him. Sublety is not good when dealing with men.
spill, how about you? met anyone? even virtually?

Not met anyone. Not talking to anyone "date-able" either.

So what's it like from the male perspective?

I'm not quite sure really. I'm not overly keen on internet dating sites although I have tried one or two. Nowadays, I'm more likely to rely on the free-to-use sites rather than throw good money away ( or so it seems ). I think that with POF you could get pretty much whatever you wanted IF the folk on there actually mean what they say. I put in my "requirements" and it came back with 615 people within ten miles of me.

Another free one is Midsummers Eve. I'm on that one too and met someone a while ago but nothing happened.

    Ali - you didn't offend me, I promise. :p

    Hi Sammz,

Do you mind me asking whereabouts in the UK you are? Don't be too specific and obviously don't say if you don't want to.

and your plan of action is??? POF?

have given up on the friend so will probably be much less subtle if I meet anyone new - don't have light years of friendship to screw up!

ah then it all unravels...I don't say anything early doors as I need a couple of drinks to steady the nerves and then suddenly next thing it's at a point where I realise I'm too drunk to make an impassioned plea and he'll just think it's the drink and then next I'm home alone again - whoops!
