but I don't care about him because I don't know him yet! what worries me is not so much the initial date (that's a whole different set of worries) but if it develops into something that I'll take my eye of the ball and start spending again.

Why do you think that will happen post LBM?

You will probably spend more - if for no other reasons than transport and communications. How badly that will affect you depends on how finely your accounts are balanced.

If it does develop into something, then you may end up finding out that 2 together is cheaper than 2 apart (same wages, but less costs).

But ultimately, you do pay to enjoy yourself - think how much a TV + license costs, but the right guy should be a lot more fun...

..or the fact that you might start to like him too much and attempt to help him out too! (Oh, no that's just me that does that! )

Best to help him out by sharing your skills and experience. They're much more valuable and will last him longer - after all:

Give a man a fish and he's fed for a couple of hours. Teach a man to fish and he's fed for the rest of his life.

lol, my date on Sunday has been done DFW style (just dont tell the lady!!!) The guy in charge of the ice skaiting rink owes me a favour, so thats 2 tickets sorted and shesggested a chinese buffet as the meal, so it'll be a bit cut price if nothing else!!

If you both enjoy something, who cares what it cost?

  • I decided that I am not going to even attempt to date anyone, keep life simple, I have my money plans, my studying plans(which i should be doing now not typing on here) and my work plans. I don't care if its boring it will do me for the next couple of years.

not wishing to sound like a miserable cow - good luck to those with dates!!!

    xx

We're talking about blokes. Life doesn't get much simpler. Not even plankton...

Whichever way you choose to live your life. Men are not the be-all and end-all of life. Not even those in boy-bands.

And good luck in your studies too...
