We have had duropal worktops in stalled in our utility, half wishing we had them put in the main kitchen as well given how much grief sorting out our quartz worktops has been . They came either as 600mm or 650mm and in up to 4m lengths. They are much better quality than the cheap ones we used to have in the kitchen..

You had a signature that suggested that you have now removed, can't recall what it was may have suggested a hidden trader or a scammer, but it was suspect, hence my comment and that post.

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you had experience fitting different branded worktops to Ikea kitchen cabinets.

We are ordering an Ikea kitchen but would like to source laminate worktops elsewhere. However, we are having problems finding the 620mm deep ones recommended by IKEA.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

A lot of people will tell you "I've got an ikea kitchen and got my worktops from XYZ and they are fine" BUT chances are they have a Faktum kitchen. This range was replaced earlier this year by the Metod range and this new range does not take standard worktop sizes. No idea why Ikea has gone for this non-standard size of cabinet - unless it is to sell more worktops!

How old is your Ikea kitchen? If more than a year old it won't be the new Metod cabinets.

670 is breakfast bar width. Is your whole kitchen done in breakfast bar worktop? If so must be quite a lip!
