Help ... cannot re-install driver!

Thanks ... it just says Digital Camera CD30H (Item No.) on the box. On the base of the camera are two stickers ...QC02 and SFO41543650. That's all the info. there is I'm afraid (including in the Owners Manual). Not much to go on!

Absolutely no sign of a driver anywhere on the net for that particular camera. As they all have more or less the same build spec (they all get made in one area), I'm wondering if the likes of a Jenoptik driver might work? Any thoughts anyone?

p.s. I can't read any more websites with lines like this in 'Welcome extablish friendly business relationship with over the world for my honest services.'.
This is not a job for the faint hearted.:)

wonder if the firmware within the camera has got corrupted somehow? Can you return the camera - is it under warranty still?

I have just emailed them asking where the driver can be downloaded, but TBH, I wouldn't be in a big hurry for a reply. Last time I emailed a company in China, they were only interested in how many dollars I wanted tto spend. Will post back with any results from them.

I'm sure it is corrupted somehow ... the software won't seem to install anything now (though I have reinstalled numerous times:rolleyes: Unfortunately, the guy stated on his original ebay listing it had to be returned within 2 weeks if there was a fault, which there wasn't originally. I've contacted him a few times, but he's given up responding now. As he's a "Power Seller", I don't think he'll give a toss unfortunately.

As the camera was so cheap, I'm wondering if it's worthwhile buying another with the same software package, but I'm afraid I'll have the same problem installing?

BTW, I'm really grateful to you guys for your trouble ... really glad you like a challenge!

Unfortunately the email address on their website is bouncing. Reason being that Steven doesn't seem to actually hold an account there. Helluva way to run a business.....but there you go. You could always try asking the seller to upload the drivers to a website you can DL it from? Might be worth a shot before shelling out for a new camera.

Thanks CM. I've actually got a reply from the seller after asking for a refund and, guess what, he doesn't want to know! Just got fobbed off by him and sure I won't get a response again.

The weird thing was, it actually downloaded earlier today when I was (once again) having a go at fixing it, but it's refused to since. There's obviously some conflict somewhere or something's not configuring properly. I've had a look on the Internet and there are a hell of a lot of people with similar problems who are unable to fix them.

It's the Photoimpression/FunHouse software package where the problem lies ... wonder if anyone else has had a problem with this?

NP, I once had the same problem with a Jenoptik driver....but eventually guessed it was XP causing the problem, and bought another camera. Not exactly a tech solution....but it worked!!!
