    Morning all

Elona, so sorry to read your new - ((hugs)) xx

After spending a lovely week with my sister & brother in law, I have just waved them off , I really do enjoy them both coming down to visit us and miss them when they go back home, it makes me want to move back home :/ ........ on the plus side I can get back into my normal routine, no housework hardly has been done whilst they have been here.

My first plan is to get the wm on, I have about 3 loads to get done, hopefully the weather will play ball and stay dry.
then I have a full clean in the living & dining rooms to do, make the beds, clean the kitchen, mop floors, clean rabbits & chickens out, then this eve go for a stroll with dh & ds to collect some apples, DH came home the other day with 2 bags full of plums, I've so far made wine, chutney and jam, I'm thinking apple and plum jam to use up the rest of them.

Tea tonight is HM donor kebab with wedges & salad.

Hope you all have a lovely day x

    Hi everyone,

Elona, I'm so sorry to hear your news.

Hester, your DD is very brave, not many people would have done that, I hope that I would have had the courage.

Day 2 of the eating plan complete - it already seems to be having a good affect on my stomach so it's giving me the incentive to carry on. I was very tempted when DH was munching on toast with jam last night and I do miss my morning cup of tea with lots of milk and a smidgeon of sugar.

I have been committed to an hour manning a stall at the local Show - it's the last one of the day so I shall take some reading matter because it is bound to be very quiet. Other than that I want to go and see DS and GF.

    Have a good day.

Had nice shower with fancy gel and have put pizza dough in BM to take pizza wheels out for a picnic.

We are all going to the seaside for the day and give ourselves a break. Moping will do no good. Lying awake listening to DH breath and having a canary if he stops for a second even less.

He gave away the chickens yesterday so very quiet without them.

He has convinced himself juicing will help so we are not raining on his parade. I even got special aromatherapy blend of oils to try to relax him.

As soon as we finish bits of painting etc he wants the house put up for sale and we drove round looking at bungalows.

    Hester

I well remember our twins not sleeping in tandem . unison or whatever. Lovely to be able to give them back after a day :)

    Hugs to all

    Morning all,

Elona what can I say that hasn't been said already? There are no words.... I didn't get to post yesterday but I did read and I did think of you. Many hugs don't seem enough but that's all I can offer you.

mrsmortenharket, thinking of you too. My friend and neighbour 3 doors up had to fight with the education department with her two girls who, although didn't have behavioural issues, they did have dyslexia amongst other educational difficulties. She also has two diabetic sons and battled with ME too. Anyway, whilst I am waffling, I just wanted to say, both her girls are teachers now. I'll always have a special place for her in my heart although we are no longer close. She taught me a lot about being a wife and Mother.

Didn't get to post yesterday, in my zealousness to clean, unfortunately I broke my keyboard on Monday. Actually its in a million bits but never mind. I'll get a new one this weekend hopefully if hubby cant put it back together again. Typing on my phone, even though its got a bigger screen than my old one is still a pain. Smartphone my backside (or am I as blind as a bat?)

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Hello everyone, may I join in? I've been reading for a few days now and feel like I'm eavesdropping, so I thought I'd say hello. I'm a stay at home mum of 2 dd's ,12and 9. My oh works, we're both in our early 30's.

You all sound like a lovely supportive bunch. It's been very humbling to read the support you've given to each other in difficult times and I hope I can give my support as well, even if it is just a virtual hug.

Well today I started out by catching up with big brother (my guilty pleasure) and the only hour of peace I get in the day while dd's are still in bed. House work is done, second load of washing is on, I'm just waiting on dd's and one of their friends to get up. Oh is working until 12ish and then we're going into town to get school uniforms. It's dull and grey here today but dry. It's been dry most of the week but it's getting cooler. Autumn is in the air, too early for my liking. Still have to walk the dogs, they didn't get out yesterday and they're not very happy with me lol.

Hope you all have a good and productive day.

  • CAZ you are very welcome, we really like new friends to join us.

Good luck with the school uniforms, I remember it well, but the one thing I hated was taking my two girls for new school shoes because we always fell out.

    Hi Caz and welcome :)

MrsLW- I have just screamed the street down. I was hoovering the downstairs hall and saw a spider the size of a bee but thought nvm, then there was one that was bigger but really wispy - meh, no problem. I pulled out the cupboard and the BIGGEST HUGE BEASTY SPIDER was there!!
My screams woke up both kids, and I had to tell DD to pull the cupboard back more, DS2 to put my biggest glass bowl over it and I stood on a stool in the kitchen in case the beasty made a dash for it.

I'm hiding upstairs now until DH gets home a deals with it. DS2 says he thinks he accidently squished two of its legs with the edge of the bowl, which means that bowl is going in the bin. Not very MSE but I will heave if I look at it again knowing that!

Deffo autumn is coming early this year, the fruits ripened a good two weeks sooner than usual and the scary spiders don't normal appear until September!

I'm with you on the spider thing, I am scared to death of the big ones and they do seem to be showing themselves earlier this year. Apparently it's the male spiders looking to mate .:T
I got out of the bath the other day and went to pull the plug and there was a giant spider in the bath , I assume it must have been in there with me :eek: I still haven't recovered

gers thinking of you , it must be a difficult day for you xx
