Have you tried switching the Viera link off.
I had this problem with my Panasonic tv and Humax youview box. Switching the youview box to standby gave me a blank screen, but after I had switched the Viera link off on the tv, now when the youview is switched to standby, it reverts back to the tv setting. Just a thought.0 -

OK, I tried turning Viera link off on both sets - the tv wouldn't show a picture at all with the recorder in standby.
I did ask Panasonic and they simply said that it couldn't be done like the old way. Ah well, I just need to get used to the new way of working.0
