I'm going to say... a rat!

Mine bring in mice, birds, bugs and earthworms. They've also brought in various barbecuing items, half eaten rolls and some roses from my next door neighbour (mortified doesn't begin to cover that one).

The catch of the day atm is magpie feathers, they provide hours of entertainment.

I also have a pacifist cat - each day she climbs to the top of the tree outside my window and picks me the nicest sycamore leaf she can find. Very sweet.
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

    Stoat or weasel?

Not knowing is driving me mad now. :rotfl:
  • Yeah, it was a rat. In 44 years my cats have never brought a live one into the house. It was under the kitchen table then it ran out towards a cupboard and then ontowards the fridge freezer followed by the cat. I had to push him off and I made the snap decision to grab it by the tail. I did this and then threw it out of the door.
It lay there prone and stunned till it limped off. I was terrified it would run behind the fridge freezer/other appliance and be very difficult to get out. It was a horrible experience and I'm going to keep the door between the kitchen and the rest of the house shut when the cat is out. Really horrible, imagine if that was someone who was elderly who had to catch it or someone who was really phobic about rats/mice.

A while ago we were clearing an overgrown part of our garden. I turned to say something to my husband whilst picking up dead leaves from a large pile behind me not looking what I was doing. When I turned around I had a dead, desiccated rat in my hand. To make it worse I had taken my gloves off about two minutes beforehand.
